The ESL Pro Series represents the best of the best in national eSports and games in the ESL Pro Series should have a sizeable, vibrant competitive community. In order to help ensure that the game we select has such a community we will pit a number of games against each other in a race to prove themselves worthy.

At the moment these games are still planned to be included in next season, though that is still subject to change:

• Counter-Strike: Source:
• Quake Live
• TrackMania Nations Forever

We have selected the following games that we believe have the potential to be an ESL Pro Series game next season.

• Call of Duty 4
• Counter-Strike 1.6

We are also looking out for other games that may have potential. Could Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Heroes of Newerth or League of Legends be a suitable game for the British ESL Pro Series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and spread the word!

Over the next few months we will monitor the size, activity and conduct of their communities in their ESL UK section before deciding which game will be featured in the next season of the ESL Pro Series.
