See you all in London!

Remember the last Finals
30.06.2009 13:29

Where were you when 4Kings smashed FM.TOXIC?

Everyone who visited the last ESL Pro Series Finals in the Congress Centre London will remember this match. FM.TOXIC playing with the team of KritikaL, Release, Mx, beta and FrankstaH were the big favourite by far, since they won every single match in the season. But 4Kings played a great event and managed to bring the favourite down.

Missed that? Watch the Video on Demand!

The quakers of Finals II
29.06.2009 14:03

See the beste Quakers of the United Kingdom live in London!

This Saturday the best four Quake 3 players of the United Kingdom come together to determine their king. Who players who, and who might have the best chances to smash his opponents and claim the throne of Quaker King in the United Kingdom? Get an overview of these thrilling 1on1 duels!

Starting in a four player, single elimination bracket, all players will have the same chances to make it to the Grand Final. The losers of the first round of matches will play another match for the 3rd place, the winners advance to the Grand Final and duel for the crown of the British duel scene.

Match #1: HELL vs. kRoNic

HELL (1st)
Aaron-Anton Jones
Age: 24
City: Cardiff
Statistics: 7-0-0
Maps: 14:02
VS kRoNic (4th)
Ciarán Rodgers
Age: 21
City: Dublin
Statistics: 3-0-4
Maps: 08:08

Who else but HELL can win the ESL Pro Series II? He managed to walk his way to the first place in the online season by winning every single match and losing a total of two maps. We won versus everyone at the finals and has more than enough experience to make it to the throne.

But kRoNic is more than the right opponent in the first round. Even if he just made it to the finals due to his victory over rox, who was equal to him in any stats, he was one of the two players who won a map against HELL. Can he do this again and make his way to the Grand Finals?

Match #2: ddk vs. GaRpY

ddk (2nd)
Dan Kapadia
Age: 21
City: Poole
Statistics: 6-0-1
Maps: 12:04
VS GaRpY (3rd)
Gareth Marshall
Age: 23
City: Birmingham
Statistics: 5-0-2
Maps: 11:05

ddk was the players right next to HELL playing an almost perfect season but loosing to him. His advantage might be the experience how to play at an ESL event since he was participant of the Intel Friday Night Game #1 in London where he won 2:0 versus his upcoming oppontn GaRpY.

GaRpY also knows about the ESL events but lost in a tight match to ddk. But with this result in the back of his mind and a lot of preperation he will definitly make a very thrilling match out of it and maybe take the chance to challenge the other winner in the Grand Final!
