What is the Amateur Series?The ESL Amateur Series is where the best of the up and coming UK & Ireland teams must prove themselves to qualify for the ESL Pro Series - the UK's only professional eSports league.Teams in the Amateur Series have 1 compulsory match every week (like a League) in addition to being able to play additional challenge matches (like a Ladder). The top teams in the Amateur Series are promoted to the 1. Division to play a standard League format. The top teams in qualifying seasons of the 1. Division are promoted to the ESL Pro Series. How can my team make it to the ESL Pro Series?1. Your team must join the ESL Amateur Series. There your team will get a compulsory match every Monday 8pm and can challenge other teams to get points faster. The top teams of the ESL Amateur Series at the end of a 1. Division season (the next season finishes at the beginning of May) are directly promoted (1st and 2nd place) or play in Relegation (3rd and 4th place) to get into the 1. Division. 2. The teams in the 1. Division play a standard 5 week league, one match against every team in the League. The top teams at the end of a qualifying season* are promoted or go through to Relegation to get into the ESL Pro Series. * the upcoming 1. Division season is not a qualifying season, nor is the season afterwards, but the third season will be. Requirements for 1st Division eligibilityYour team must join the Amateur Series by Midnight Monday 19th April and remain until the qualification snapshot at the beginning of MayThis is so that your team is in the Amateur Series for one full month of AutoChallenger matches, and other teams have a reasonable time to challenge you Your team must play at least 8 matches, since the 1st March, excluding default wins and losses This is to ensure that teams are motivated to find and play matches. How to sign up- All players in your team must register on the ESL.Important! If you have ever registered before and you have forgotten your details, do not make a new account, write a support ticket. - All players in your team must register their SteamID (CS/DoD) gameaccount. - The team captain should create the team by going to My Teams (at the top) and Register new team. - After creating the team, the captain should set a password (My Teams -> Manage team -> Edit team, then give the link to the team to all players who can join it with the 'join team' link on the team page.
