How to qualify for the 1st Division
The Amateur Series first step along the way to the Premier League. Today we announce details of how to qualify for the next step - the 1st Division.
To get the Premier League - the highest league in the UK - teams must work their way to the top of the Amateur Series to reach the 1st Division, then reach the top of the 1st Division to be promoted to the Premier League.

5on5 Amateur Series

   Meeting place: #esl.uk.css on Quakenet IRC - web chat is available!
   Match mode: One map, first to 16 rounds, draws possible
   Maps: de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_train, de_tuscan, de_season, de_contra
   Demos: All players must record POV demos
   Anti-Cheat: All players must play with ESL Wire Anti-Cheat
   AutoChallenger: All teams have a compulsory AutoChallenger match every Monday 8pm
   Player restrictions: Players from any other EPS, Premier League, EAS1 and EAS may not play in the EAS!

Qualification for the 1st Division and ESL Premier League

Teams joining now can qualify for the Summer 2011 season of the 1st Division.

1st Division Qualification
- Teams must be in the ESL Amateur Series by Midnight Monday 16th May and remain inside until the qualification snapshot
- Teams must play at least 8 matches, since the 4th April, excluding default wins and losses to be eligible
- Challenging will be disabled for the hot phase from the 6th June until the qualification snapshot
- During the hot phase, teams will have up to 2 further AutoChallenger matches
- The qualification snapshot will be made when there are no further open matches

Finding matches

   Challenge teams: You can challenge directly teams in the Amateur Series through the ranking page or their team page

   Matchmaker: You can advertise for a match at a particular time using the Matchmaker

ESL Wire Anti-cheat

The use of ESL Wire Anti-Cheat (part of ESL Wire) is compulsory!

All players must play with ESL Wire Anti-Cheat. Failure will result in default loss!

Please have all your players test their ESL Wire Anti-Cheat before arranging any matches!

How to sign up?

First all players on your team must register on the ESL.

Important! If you or any of your players have ever registered before and have forgotten your or their details, do not make a new account, write a support ticket

All players must register their Steam ID (HL2/CSS) gameaccounts.

The team captain should create the team by going to My Teams and Register new team.

After creating the team, the captain should set a password (My Teams -> Manage team -> Edit team, then give the link to the team and password to all players. They can can join the team with the 'join team' link on the team page.

Then the captain can can    Sign Up
