Slots

The performance of British teams in the ESL Major Series so far has earned the UK third place in the country ranking which means we have:

  • 1 direct qualification slot
  • 1 qualification round 2 slot
  • 1 qualification round 1 slot

These slots will be given in order based on the final ranking of the qualifier.

Qualifier Structure

Due to the length of time since the last ESL Pro Series, this season there will be a qualifier for UK teams. The qualifier will be split into multiple stages with teams from the ESL Pro Series and 1st Division being directly invited to the later stages.

Open Stage (Thursday 18th March - 8, 9, 10pm)

In the open stage, all teams and players that are not in the ESL Pro Series or 1st Division can sign up. The exact structure of this stage will depend on the number of sign ups, but it is planned for the best 6 teams to move on to the next stage.

Stage 2 (Sunday 21st March - 8, 9, 10pm)

In Stage 2 the 1st Division teams will be joined with the teams that qualified in the Open Stage. They will play a Groupstage of four groups of four teams, one map per match. The top two teams from each group will move on to the next stage.

Stage 3 (Thursday 25th March - 8, 9, 10pm)

In Stage 3 the ESL Pro Series teams will be joined with the teams that qualified in Stage 2. They will play a Groupstage of four groups of six teams, one map per match. The top two teams from each group will move on to the next stage.

Stage 4 (Sunday 28th March - 8, 9, 10pm)

In Stage 4 the teams that qualified in Stage 3 will play a Groupstage of four groups of three teams, one map per match. The top team from each group will move on to the final stage.

Final Stage (Thursday 1st April - 8, 9, 10pm)

The four remaining teams will play a 4 team to decide the final ranking of the qualifier.
