For anybody interested:
We (Frantic Gaming) have initiated contact with dFIB in an attempt to establish some fair play in this matter. Having spoken with Abbey, we both agreed that a play-off between Paradox, dFIB and ourselves would be the fairest way to resolve this issue (we involve Paradox gaming in this as it is stated nowhere that we can find that amount of loses effects rankings). However, due to a lack of notice, neither of us were able to field teams (dFIB vs. Frantic) at times suitable for both teams as we were only given one night to resolve the matter. We have opened tickets with ESL admins and have received no response as of yet. We do not feel that ESL have abided by the rules of fair play in this selection process, and for their fault, we are now the ones feeling guilty.

I believe the only applicable method of ending this comment is as follows: GG ESL.
ESL is ALWAYS right!

you played 2 soooooooooooooooo many more games, why play a game to lose and drop places? tactics not your strong point?

The point is that teams in positions 3,4 & 5 all have 25pts; we felt uneasy that they had put us in position 4 based on the fact that we played more recently than dFIB rather than say determining position 4 based on ticket difference. Unfortunately, as we were only given a days notice, we were unable to arrange a "mini" play-off between ourselves and dFIB - which both teams felt would have been a fair way to determine both of our positions.

In terms of the UK A Series, I don't believe either team is overly concerned as there will be many more matches before the season closes. The concern was over gaining entry into the EMS One qualification cup - which was decided by being in one of the top 4 positions following the league update on Monday.

Of course I would prefer that the opportunity is ours to take, I am in this because I personally enjoy the challenge of playing against highly skilled players / teams. I am of course very happy that Frantic Gaming will be competing on Wednesday. That however does not mean I do not want to be fair and considerate. This is the UK A Series after all; I thought us Brits were supposed to be all about good sportsmanship and what not.

Ultimately the decision has been made and we have made every possible attempt at resolving the matter given the time available to us, which appeases my conscience a little.

We only played 2 games, Because teams only signed up for 1 game. Throughout the last 3 weeks if you would of signed up for more we would of played you. There was no given deadline for when the playoff cup teams would be decided, or stated in the rules about how the ladder would be decided ie team that plays last gets through. This is not in the spirit of fair play. but hey at the end of the day it is going to be Intense and Exertus in the final. This result will only be different if one of these two teams don't turn up.

So I say good luck to Exertus and Intense, and respect to Frantic Gaming for understanding fairplay and sportmanship.
I like how we are the bad guys yet again through no decision of ours. We are not ESL we didn't choose the teams we didn't make the ladder system and we didn't schedule a final date with only 2 days notice. So you can keep your fair play bull to yourself, anyone's to blame its ESL, not paradox, whatever decision ESL make we will go with if they even listen...I'm not so sure
Well there isn't anything we can do so close to the event, we should talk to the ESL admins and try and get the way it's done fixed for the next qualification cup. I guess it's a new experience for them too.
