As most of you know we here at Electronic Sports League Nordic have worked on the new season of ESL Pro series. It is with great sorrow we have to announce that the upcoming season of ESL Pro Series is cancelled.

We had to postpone the Counter-Strike Relegation tournament due to Intel Extreme Masters V: European Championship, and StarCraft II due to Intel Extreme Masters V: European Championship, and another week due to the finnish LAN-event, Assembly. Atleast, here is the final information for the last two Relegation Tournaments. Brackets and dates can be found below.

The last semifinal in the ESL Pro Series Counter-Strike Relegation Tournament is to be replayed due to two TCM-Gaming players lacking ESL Wire Anti-Cheat. The re-match is set to be played 12.02.11 18:00CET!

For quite some time has been a lot of talk about new maps for Counter-Strike: Source. This came not only from the community, but the pros and our admins. We are proud to present a new map pool featuring one old and one new map: de_contra and de_season will join the other five maps to bring some new scenery to ESL Major Series 8 and ESL Pro Series Nordic!

After a well played season with three ESL Pro Series-games, it is now ready to see which teams who qualifies for the fourth season of ESL Pro Series! The list with participiants is made under with seedings, the seedings is also made according to which place the teams placed in their league. It was a very close match, but in the end the Danish team mTw won against their opponents from Norway. The ESL booth was packed with people when the two teams fought for the title and €1,500 of prize money. The last map was ultimately concluded after a tight race to the golden number of 16. mTw came out on top with the exact scoreline of 16-14.

Many awesome matches have been played in the EPS Nordic Season #3 Finals. In the end, the best player was Sjow from team Dignitas. In his match against MadFrog the Terran player stayed calm and was able to defeat his Zerg opponent 2:0. In this news we will tell you where you can find the replays. The winner Sjow can take €2,000 of prize money home. €1,000 go to MadFroG, the EPS Nordic Vice Champion.

After many thrilling matches, the EPS Nordic Season #3 Finals are almost over. Find the dates for the two final matches in SC2 and CS 1.6 here. In the game for the third place in the EPS Nordics Finals Season #3 we will now see fnaticMSI play against RAGE.ENUZI. RAGE and fnatic were already facing each other today in the Dreanhack tournament where fnatic won 2:0 against their also Swedish opponents.

mTw and fnatic are playing a thrilling match. mTw won the first map. Three overtimes were played and the third overtime is coming up. Who is going to stay calm and keep their wits? Both teams are already a little bit exhausted since they have been playing almost three hours now.

fnatic released on 31st of August 2010 a statement on their website saying they would withdraw from ESL Pro Series Nordic. We are now happy to announce that fnatic will not withdraw from ESL Pro Series Nordic, but participate in season 3.

The initial playday for ESL Pro Series Nordic Season 3 is finally here, and all the top teams are back in action to play in one of the most hard fought leagues in the world. Play Day 1 sees finalists fnatic up against newcomers ArcticNova.org, while mTw is up against danish newcomers daKarma, in what promises to be exciting matches, and an exhilirating experience for the new boys of ESL Pro Series Nordic!

Blank-TV and ESL Pro Series Nordic have reached an agreement which gives Blank-TV.de exclusive rights to broadcast the HLTV and SourceTV for all ESL Pro Series Nordic matches, not covered by ESL TV. And the right to record all matches for download by the users.

PlayZone.se have been removed from the ESL Pro Series Nordic, since they have decided to leave because of no motivation nor time to continue in the Pro Series. With a limit of 35 penalty points, the Swedish team was getting closer and closer to a kick from the league (29 points when withdrawn).

CBteam have been removed from the ESL Pro Series Nordic, due to too many penalty points. After not showing in the agreed match against Roskilde Ravens, the administration has no other choice but to remove CBteam due to massing penalty points worth a total of 42% prizemoney reduction.
