ESL Pro Series Nordic Season 3 announced!
The 3rd edition of the ESL Pro Series is due to kick off at the 23rd of august 2010, and this time we are expanding! With the newcomers of Starcraft II and a test season of Counter-Strike: Source we have more games to watch, and more excitement to follow in what promises to be a tremendous season.
Information

The ESL Pro Series is a league that is running in many of the major sections of the ESL, and the Nordic ESL Pro Series will have 2 main games, and one game that we will test out the publics response for, to see if there is a future.

The 2 main games are Counter-Strike 1.6 and Starcraft II:Wings of Liberty, while the test game is Counter-Strike:Source.

Counter-Strike 1.6
1st place: 3300€
2nd place: 1600€
3rd place: 1200€
4th place: 600€

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
1st place: 2000€
2nd place: 1000€
3rd place: 500€
4th place: 300€

Counter-Strike:Source
1st place: 1500€
2nd place: 800€

How to Qualify

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
The Starcraft II EAS ladder is open for activity immediately, and you can start challenging opponents to secure the top spots required for participating in the ESL Pro Series.

Counter-Strike: Source
The Counter Strike Source teams will be picked by an administration panel based on applications made by teams. These applications can be mailed to nordic@staff.esl.eu And the deadline for sending applications is Wednesday the 18th of August 23:59.

As a minimum your application should include: team name, link to ESL team page, lineup, previous tournament(s) info, link(s) to additional info and results.

Requirements for the ESL Team page: CSS gameacount added for every member, a team logo, photo uploaded for every member, birthday must be entered and shown and at least 3 members must reside in DK, FI, NO, SE, IS or FO.

Counter-Strike 1.6
Teams have qualified for the 3rd Season of the ESL Pro Series through the ESL Amateur Series and there will therefore be no open qualifier for the ESL Pro Series Season 3.

The top-8 ranked teams in the Pro Series - season 2 will once again fight for the prizemoney, while teamteam v2 and dakarma have qualified directly from the ESL Amateur Series.

The last two spots will be handed out in the EPS Promotion tournament.
