First of all, we would like to thank all the teams who applied for a spot in the upcoming A Series in Counter-Strike. Because of the 10 good applications, we had a tough job reaching the conclusion of which 5 teams that should get the spots. The chosen ones are the last 5 mentioned below. If you're qualified or chosen for the league, read this news carefully!

After two weeks with intense qualification action, we are ready to present you the best teams and players in every qualifier. The last slots in the A Series will be decided in the 23th of April 23:55, the three best applications we have received by then will be awarded with a spot in the ESL A Series.

The three last spots to the A Series will not be invites, but you can apply to get them. So write a good application, and your team might be the lucky ones! We want to give everyone a very last chance to play in the ESL A Series this season, therefore you have been given this chance. Remember that the application should look nice and clean, applications which is lacking the required information will be rejected.

The first qualifier to the ESL A Series for Counter-Strike kicked of yesterday, the cup went good with 15 participiants. The top 3 teams in this qualifier is automaticly invited to join us in the ESL A Series CS.

As we were forced to cancel our very own ESL Pro Series, we will hereby give you information regarding the ESL A Series(previous known as Amateur Series). Remember that the league structure has been reseted, which means that you will have to qualify even though you played in the Amateur Series last year.

We have decided to hold a quick 16 players 1on1 aim cup, in Counter-Strike! Signup to show who is the best CS 1.6 aimer within Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland! We will be playing first to ten rounds!

Today was the groups of the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship drawn, which was shown on ESL.TV earlier today. If you missed out on this, you can now get a little summary of the selection, and a little bit of "history", so to say.

In this version of the Intel Extreme Masters Europe we are to see 36 teams from thirteen/fourteen different nations.

6 days remain before the EAS PreSeason is closing, and with 1 spot in the ESL Pro Series, and 7 spots in the EAS Div.1 up for grabs, the competition is surely going to heat up.

The groupstages are done, and now the ESL Pro Series National Playoffs will commence. Over 100 teams initially applied for the national qualifiers, now only 46 are remaining in the various national qualifiers, and the competition is heating up for the coveted ESL Pro Series and ESL Amateur Series Div.1 spots.

The final day for signing up to your national qualifier is here, the sign up will close tonight at 23:59 CET, when it is no longer possible to sign up for the national qualifiers of the ESL Pro Series Season 02. After a lot of positive feedback from the first tournament, and after learning a few things, we have decided to do a 2nd 1on1 aim tournament this coming Sunday. The tournament will start at <b>19:00</b> CET and last the whole evening, with a planned finish at 22:00 on Sunday night. The winner of the tournament will receive 2 months of ESL TV Premium while the runner up will receive 1 month of ESL TV premium. The Check in period will start at 18:30 and finish at 17:50, any player that have not checked in will not be able to participate in the tournament.

This Sunday we will launch a new initiative here on ESL Nordic, with a one day 1on1 tournament. The tournament will start at <b>17:00</b> CET and last the whole evening, with a planned finish at 21:30 on Sunday night. The winner of the tournament will receive 2 months of ESL TV Premium while the runner up will receive 1 month of ESL TV premium.

Nå er det endelig klart for bycup 2009! Etter mange kvalifiseringskamper er har vi endelig klargjort hvem som skal være kaptein for de ulike byene. Cupen starter i kveld kl.19.00

Etter to uker med mange søknader, har vi endelig kunne fastsette kapteinene for de fleste byene. De byene som fikk flere søknader, må nå igjennom en kvalifiseringsrunde, før cupen kan avholdes kommende helg (13.-15.nov). Bycup09 fikk mange søknader i år, og enkelte byer fikk så mye som fire søknader. Vi har derfor arrangert en kvalifiseringsrunde, for å finne ut hvem som skal presentere byen, som byens kaptein. Klikk videre for oppsettet.
