How are countries ranked?
The slot distributions in games with national qualification are all completely calculated using results from past seasons. For the last 3 seasons, every match won by a team from the Qualifying Rounds to the Playoffs is counted and weighted by stage (Playoffs are worth more) and season (older seasons are worth less). All the points are totalled up in a country ranking.
How does qualification work?
Like the UEFA Champions League, the ESL Major Series has two Qualifying Rounds before the Groupstage. Teams in Qualifying Round 1 play a match against 1 other team in their round, the winners go through to Qualifying Round 2 to play a team from that round, the winners qualify for the ESL Major Series Groupstage.Your
