Rules
These are the rules for the World of Tanks 1on1 Heavy Tanks. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Rules & Information and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. All players must meet the requirements listed in the Rules & Information at the time the match is scheduled to begin. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. Ladder Rules
1.1. Challenging
In a ladder any participant may challenge any other. The challenge may be refused by the challenged if they choose. In ladders with more than 20 participants compulsory challenges are activated. If a participants is within 20 places above the challenging participants the refusal will be punished with two penalty points. If both participants are in the top 10 then the refusal will be punished with 3 penalty points.
A challenging participant from the newcomer pool (unranked) is considered as being at the bottom of the ladder, therefore the 20 participants ranked last in the ladder would be punished for rejecting a challenge.
Participants that have more than 5 outstanding challenges in a ladder, no matter if the matches are confirmed or not, may not take on any further challenges. This is scripted into the ESL system and cannot be changed.
1.1.1. Playing with teammates
It is not allowed to play against own teammates. A teammate can be somebody in the same WoT clan and/or ESL team. Matches against teammates will be rated as fakematch and punished according to the rules.
1.2. No show
If your opponent does not show after 20 minutes, you must enter the result as your opponent did not appear in time. Do not enter a default win for yourself.
In Instant Challenger matches the no show time is 10 minutes.
1.3. Result
Both players are responsible that a correct result will be entered. Is there any disagreement, a protest has to be opened.
1.4. Gameaccount
All players must have their own ESL player account to be allowed to play in ESL competitions. All players have to enter their World of Tanks account (European Server) as a game account on the ESL website. This account has to be used in all ESL competitions.
1.5. Admins and broadcast
Admins and/or broadcasters are always allowed to join any battle played in ESL competitions to spectate. If an admin or a broadcaster ask you to invite him to a battle played in an ESL competition, you have to invite him.
1.6. Matches and Battles
A match is the entire game between two contestants and consists of one or more battles, depending on the match mode (BO3, BO5, etc.). A battle is one single game session that lasts up to 5 minutes or until all enemy tanks are destroyed.
2. Match Media
In order to prove anything all players should take screenshots and keep them in case they are needed for protests. For example if a player shows up late or something like that. The screenshots have to be saved for at least 7 days. It is enough if only one player uploads a screenshot.
Both players HAVE to take screenshots of the following:
- Result screen
- no matchmedia: 1 penalty point and match will be deleted
3. Settings
3.1. Battle Settings
- System: 1 vs 1
- Timelimit: 10 minutes
- Server: Matches have to be played on the server EU_1
- Mappool: Ensk, Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, Lakeville, Siegfried Line
3.2. Forbidden Mods, Skins and Consumables
3.3. Tank regulations
- Available Tanks: You are only allowed to use Heavy Tanks with a maximum tier of 8.
- Premium ammo / consumables are allowed
- Every kind of skins and mods are allowed, if not forbidden in other parts of the rules
3.4. Pre-battle
Battles are created by the player on the left side of the matchsheet. Battle room should be created 10 minutes before the official match time. Players should join immediately.
3.5. Result
It will be played one round. Possible results are: 1:0, 0:1 or 1:1. If there is entered any other result, it will be displayed as resultfaking
4. Maps
Because the Maps are buildt for battles with 30 tanks we have restricted areas on the maps. You are not allowed to leave this area. You have to take the green way at the screenshot. This is also the reason why a base capture is not possible. As long as a Tank is still touching the line, it does not count as "leaving the battlearea".
Only tanks in the battlezone may be shot or are allowed to shoot. Despite this, all tanks are required to enter the battle zone as fast as possible at the entry points marked on the maps.
For those who might be insecure with the battle zones you can download the Battlezone Mod, though this is not mandatory.
4.1. Ensk:
4.2. Himmelsdorf:
4.3. Ruinberg
4.4. Lakeville

5. Penalty points
In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.
