Today the Blizzard Warcraft Regional Finals are about to begin. The whole elite of Europe's and America's Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft players and teams are waiting in Cologne for duelling in epic battles. From 26/06/09 13:30 CEST on everybody can visit the event for free - and watch all the matches and shows. Here are the participants and the brackets of the tournament.

The last match for today is about to get down when Evil Geniuses face mousesports for a last all-or-nothing match in the loser bracket. The winner will have another shot at winning Season XV in the Grand Final against Wicked while the loser will finish the tournament as 3rd.

David 'affentod' Hiltscher is reporting live from Beijing for the WC3L Finals XV. Sky's victory at the PGL Championship was a delight if only to see the Chinese fans go crazy. Droves of people surrounded poor Xiao Feng and wouldn't let go of him. He took it like a true master. But the first day held even more in store.

At the moment, there are some technical difficulties at the venue of the WC3L Finals. We are working on it. Until the problem is fixed, the start of the first match will be delayed. We expect a 1pm local time, 7am CEST start, but this is subject to change.

Update: The problem has not been fixed yet. There will be further delay.
Update 2: We are optimistic that the problem has been fixed and that we can start at or before 3pm local time, 9am CEST.

David 'affentod' Hiltscher reports live from the Finals in Beijing. Have you ever been to an open air eSports event? I haven't. The large outdoor stage of the PGL and WC3L finals is the most significant defining factor of this 6 day eSports marathon in Beijing. Never before was an ESL event held outside of concert halls and congress centers.

Today's preview is about to present you one of the long time contender for the WC3L championship title: mousesports.
While they didn't take part in the 14th ESL WC3L Series Season, they are back on track now and even managed to knock out the last season's champions: World Elite.

Tonight we will witness a duel of great importance as only one of the two teams will be able to keep their spot in the WC3L. RAPTOR gaming, finishing in 10th place this season, will be facing off against Bin-gaming, who only just missed out on a playoff place. The statistics say one thing, but anything can happen in this, the last match before the offline finals.

The WC3L Season XV Finals are upon us, and the coverage page is live. Read up on all the spectator information, see photos from previous events, and all the other details you might want to know before the finals go live at May 25th. As previously known, the finals will take place this upcoming Monday, so you don't want to miss this.

ESL PGL is back in action for the fifth time around. Taking place next weekend - May 23rd to 24th - the four previous PGL champions (Check replacing Moon as an exception) will battle it out for about €1000 in the total prize purse. Alike last season, the event will take place in Happy Valley Park in connection with the upcoming WC3L Finals.

The fifth place decider match planned for today was forfeited by SK Gaming. The reason behind it is that all four teams confirmed their offline playoffs spot. Even if one team was to drop out, it would be too late for the Korean team to plan their travel.

Thus, World Elite will be the official alternate for any drop-out.
