Polish were the victims of media distortion in the past and its seems to me that they still are
I have been to Poland and China both. Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing are very developed and modern cities, and i can safely say on average the ppl there are having a higher living standard than most ppl in esatern Europe. Poland is just, no offense, far inferior to western European countries, and is inferior to most of the leading cities in China, if you count the so-called "freedom" out.
Thinking of all the communist countries as the same is just as naive as thinking of all the capitalism countries as identical. Poland would never have amounted to anything like China has achieved so far no matter what political structure it might adopt. This is the biggest population on earth and 5000 years of feudalism culture we are talking about, and yes you cant simply enforce western type of Democracy on it since Democracy was a product of Individualism and the essence of Greece culture; the ideology was naturally developed to fit most of the western countries that had been under its impact for centuries.
The fact that Chinese have a hard time getting their visas granted has nothing to do with their government you fool, how can the government affect the affairs of a foreign consulate? It's just that most countries the Chinese want to visit still have that Communist-phobia, and their visa-interviewers, esp the American ones, will never let a Chinese pass easily since they view them as "dangerous" Communists.Plus, ofc the fact that Chinese often try to illegally overstay and work in other countries contributes to their increasing chance of failure to obtain a visa.
There are millions of Chinese overseas and one day they will proly eat up this planet XD.
In a nut shell, if you have never been to a place actually, dont start judging it, coz you can never tell what ppl are telling you about that place are the truths. and yes this does not only apply to the Chinese it applies to everyone else.

It's funny that you are talking about getting a Visa card. Because I've never considered that as a problem. I've got one Visa card of bank of china and a Visa card of SG in France easily WITHOUT caution money.
You think that all the Chinese are fooled by the gouvernment. Could you admit that there is a chance that it's actually you who has been fooled?
I think the biggest difference between you and me is that I love my country and have faith on it even though it's not as developped as the western world while you don't.
