As a regular ESL user you will have noticed: The ESL website has had massive problems in the evening recently. After some very stable months we have begun to have problems with the availability of the ESL website. The coders are working hard to solve the problems. Like last year there will compensation for the problems to all Premium users in the form of free PDs in February.

The final event of the first ESL Major Series in CS 1.6 Female in Cologne, Germany, is over. In the "Sport- und Olympiamuseum", next to the Rhein, the teams of n!faculty, mousesports from Germany, McPoker.emuLate from France and the famous Les Seules from Scandinavia competed for the first title of Europe's best female Counter-Strike 1.6 team. On 26th and 27th January the ESL Pro Series Ukraine Season I finals will be held in the gaming club “Donbass Cyber Sport Arena” in Donetsk city. The best players and teams of Ukraine will fight in Counterstrike 1.6, Warcraft 3 and FIFA 2008 for the biggest prize purse in Ukrainian eSports history - 100.000 UAH. Do not miss it!

After taking the 1st spot in Rosetta@Home by storm in only a few months, we focused our combined computing power on Spinhenge@Home, a German project from the University of Bielefeld. We have done a good job so far by reaching the 2nd spot and have been challenged to a race by the current leaders of the ranking - Planet3dnow. The operators of Spinhenge asked us to wait until January. So now it's time - Gamers, please start your engines!
