It's been talked about for months: The ESL Gaming Client. Right at the start of closed beta 1 we reveal the secret. The program is called ESL Wire. The name is stands for speed, boundless networking and especially easy and accessible eSports. The small circle of beta users will be expanded in the coming weeks.

Because of a bug in our nightly scripts last night some teams were mistakenly kicked last night from various Amateur Series. The error was corrected and all kicked teams were put back in the leagues. We apologize for the inconvenience and small shock in the morning we may have triggered for some.

It was eight months ago that the Electronic Sports League entered the Rosetta @ home project. Together, we the players of the ESL have within a few months managed to take the #1 place in all Rosetta statistics. Now it is time to move on to the next project!

One week after the exciting Offline Finals in Cologne, we continue without a break with the Season XIII Qualification. Out of 16 Teams, PGS and ieS-multigaming will be the first to show their strength to their opponent and the community.

After a busy weekend with action-packed games between the world's best players it is now time to move on to the next season. The WC3L is going into its 13th edition when the qualification tournament starts next week. The grid is now available and already promises interesting matches in the first round. The cream of the crop of European eSports: Today we proudly present the drawings and seedings of the Intel® Extreme Masters Main Round. Twelve teams and players will be drawn live on ESL TV at 20:30 o'clock (CET). In the Main Round, which starts next Monday, 24 teams will play against each other. All contestants will be divided into four groups with six teams each.

The WC3L Season XII is officially over. In the Grand Final of the offline finals in Cologne, SK Gaming secured their third overall championship against MeetYourMakers by winning 3:1. SK Gaming didn't manage to finish first in the WC3L since the second season - so congratulations to them for coming back to the top after ten seasons!

The kickoff for WC3L Season XIII is coming closer as we announce the list of particapants of the upcoming qualification tournament. We received a plethora of applications from all around the world but decided for the first time in WC3L history to cut the slots in the tournament to 16. At the 12th WC3L-Finals from 18th to 19th of November a special extra is waiting for you! Beside the German commentators Mark "TheKoenna" Hoffmann and Dennis "TaKe" Gehlen two commentators will cast the event in English: Konrad 'Templar' Kleinholz and the Dutch superstar Kevin 'Rotterdam' van der Kooi.

The 12th finals of the WC3L will take place at the MediaPark in Cologne from 17th to 18th of November 2007. The best players from around the whole world compete for the championship title and 20,000 Euro prize money. Only a few days are left until Cologne is once again proud to host the WC3L Finals.
