The ESL Guild Wars Wallpaper Contest starts with the release of Guild Wars: Factions. Guild Wars: Factions has been released at 9 o'clock yesterday. This is a new chapter for the ESL Guild Wars section, which we would like to begin with a wallpaper contest. Are you a graphic design expert with creative ideas for a wallpaper? If you are, you definitely have to read on.

That is the question on some national teams their minds. We have some very exciting ENC matches for you this weekend. Playday 3 is almost over and some teams have already secured their spot for the second groupstage, others are still fighting for that precious spot so if your national team is stil fighting for their spot , support them! The ninth season of the WC3L has proved to be our most explosive season ever, with competition being higher than ever before. It's safe to assume that this season provided tons of excitement (and not to mention great replays) to the scene, and so in this newspost we will take a look at the season that was.

The Electronic Sports League is as of this moment reachable with a cool new domain: www.esl.eu! This adress will work together with the old addres during a small transition phase of about a week. Afterwards we will switch completely to the new domain using forwarders.

More exciting action packed ENC matches coming to a computer screen near you. Yesterday the second playday started with already a lot of nail biting matches for our beloved ENC spectators.

Starting Monday 10th of april, the European Nations Championship reaches its third season. With more than 50,000 fans attending the spectacular finals last year, everything is poised to grow even bigger this year. To underscore ENC's importance among the multiple summer tournaments, one company stays firmly committed to the 50,000 Euro tournament.

Things are really coming down to the wire in this Playday, as there are still a total of 4 series of games to still be played, even though the matches themselves have been completed. That being said, these matches can and will determine the fate of two such teams, namely 4Kings.Intel and mYm.Raptor-Gaming, as these two teams battle it out for first place.

As all the avid readers of the WC3L page have surely noticed, we have given away a Cooltek Auras 775 CPU PC cooler a couple of weeks ago and we will be doing it again!

No not evil visitors from outer space, real life friendly ESL visitors. A new feature has found its way into the ESL player sheet. As of yesterday the last 6 visitors of your playersheet will be shown on your playersheets last visitors section. This feature is realtime and updates everytime you had a new visitor.

With over six months of planning, conception and converion a new feature sees the light of day within the Electronic Sports League: The ESL Gather system. With the ESL Gather system you can find friends and like-minded for playing matches.It is a system where you can find other players, for over 25 games, to play with or against them.

The European Nations Championship 2006's group drawings, which where broadcasted live by GIGA TV, are over. There was 3 pools from which the teams were drawn (low seeds, mid seeds and high seeds). Each group got 1 team from the high seed pool, two teams from the low seed pool and 1 team from the mid seed pool. The seedings were done based on all past ENC results.

The last match of Playday 9 is to be completed today, as the Germans of Mousesports.BenQ.GeiL will do battle with World Elite as both teams try to gain some ground on the teams above them.
