To all representatives of the press, online-magazines and fansites:

If you're interested in reporting from the eighth WC3L finals in Cologne, Mediapark 7 (KOMED), during November 26th/27th, feel free to accredit by writing an E-Mail to Sebastian "Baschi" Weishaar. We are now accepting applications until November 15th.

Your mail should contain general information about your magazine and the number and names of the editors you want to send. Of course we will support your work with PCs with internet connection - though you should tell us how many machines you will need. If you want to bring your own PC or laptop we will provide you with internet connection, too. If you are accepted you will be notified by us and you will have free entrance to the event. The regular season is over, but what most other teams are really looking forward to is the qualification tournament for the next season. That is why we are starting the application period for the ninth season of the WC3L today. This period will last until Sunday, October 30th.

The criteria for applying teams were changed a little bit again. Please click on more... to find out which demands your applications will have to meet.

In order to prevent account stealing and trading, new safety measures have been added to the site with immediate effect. Among these new measures are the forcing of changing password every six months. Also from now on, passwords will not be sent in Email anymore, instead an activation link will be sent from where a new password can be set.

With the conclusion of our eigth season of the WC3L, we now enter the playoff and playdown mode. The seedings have been finalized, and the dates for matches have been set, so here is how the next few weeks are going to go down.

4Kings.Intel and mYm.Hanbit have already earned themselves spots in the offline final, but the teams ranked 3-6 will have to first battle it out in an online playoff match to determine which 2 other teams will make it to the LAN finals. Here is a look at the matches:

Last Monday we took the decision to close the International Counter-Strike ladders until we had worked through the very big backlog of tickets and league joins and got things back on track. We've drafted in admins to work on the Counter-Strike Section which doubled the available work load.

With the online playoffs just around the corner, our offline finals will soon be looming over us. The date has been set for November 26 to November 27, where we will crown ourselves an 8th champion.

Because we liked it so much, the event will be held once again at the KOMED in Cologne's Mediapark 7, just like in Season VII and V. Visitors are more than welcome, as well we have all matches played on the big screen for a great viewing experience.
