Monday 25th July 2005 19:00h, will see Germany face up against Hungary in the fight for a place in the Offline LAN Finals to be held at Games Convention 18th-21th August 2005.

Many people said that Hungary were the outsiders in their groupstages. Hungary certainly showed all their critics were wrong by making their way through the tournament to find themselves at the final hurdle. Monday 25th July 2005 will surely be one of the biggest dates of Hungarian Counter-Strike at National level as they try to show that they have the means to take on one of eSports big guns in the form of Germany.

Russia stormed through the initial Groupstage with 3 wins out of 3 and with the message of "We will show the world we are a leading eSports Nation". The Russian team told us all they would only be happy with a top3 finish at this years European Nations Championships, to get a chance at that position they must first beat Bulgaria.

Bulgaria started Season 2 of the European Nations Championship with a loss to Denmark and they knew they had to perform well to have a chance to even get into the second Groupstage. Having a firm final win of the initial Groupstage vs Italy with a 25-05 win which sent them into the second groupstage in 2nd place. Another bad start to the second Groupstage had Bulgaria losing 24-06 to Germany but came back to win their following 2 matches to end the stage in 3rd place.

A possible problem for our upcoming events could be to find suitable matchtimes for US and EU guilds. For that reason we created a thread in our board were we can discuss which time will be suitable for both.

After yesterday's excitement, we're keeping you guys entertained with one hell of a match. Today we'll be seeing two titans clashing in the very first playday. 4Kings.Intel will be taking on Team mYm.Hanbit is a colossal matchup that will surely be extremely close and entertaining. Each day, thousands and thousands of users are simultaneously online and browsing the Electronic Sports League website. But who is actually online? Is anyone from my ladder online? Or the author of a comment I wish to reply to? This feature is not a new invention, many other websites also have this feature, but now the ESL has it aswell: small icons, which indicate the status of each player.

More new qualifier teams exposed, this time we'll be taking a look at the Norwegians from Incredible Teamaction. I'm sure you're familiar with the squad, but they've made the regular season this year so let's take a look at what they're bringing to the table, shall we?

Yet another team that's new to the WC3L that managed to fight their way through the qualifiers, plan-B Sweden is looking to show that they're a worthy contender even after going through some big changes throughout the qualifiers. Check out this preview for a look at their team!

Another team that made it to the league via the qualification tournament was Team Pentagram, the top Polish team out there. With some old and some new faces, they will also look to make a name for themselves this season.

GoodGame, the first squad in the WC3L to have an all-French lineup since the days of sTar. These guys are ready to represent France, and are certainly contenders for the championship.

The Americans from rS Gaming are back, and they have some new and old faces that I'm sure you'll recognize to add to the mix. They've made some lineup improvements, and are ready to prove that they are indeed the #1 American clan.

In this preview we'll be taking a look at the Germans from mTw.ATI, who finished in 6th place last season with 29 overall points. With a few big pickups, mTw is looking to improve on last season's mediocrity.

Everyone knows SK Gaming, but they've made some changes since last season and this team preview will give you an overall look at what kind of changes they've really made.

Our second preview lies with the German based Mousesports.BenQ.GeiL, who, after making a few player transfers in the off-season, is looking stronger then ever.

After an interesting turn of events over the past few weeks, Team fnatic managed to secure their spot in the upcoming season, and by doing so, bringing a great pool of talent to the WC3L.

The four video streams from the WC3L Season VII finals have been pretty popular, and once again, ESLTV has released two more of the great videos. These are of course free, just like the previous four, which you can find here and here. Today ESLTV has released the SK Gaming & Team64.AMD and the Grand Final between Team64.AMD & 4Kings.Intel.

These two matches were both excellent, but I don't think many will forget the amazing matches between Insomnia and WinneR or Zacard vs ElakeDuck from the SK vs 64AMD match. Those were two VERY intense matchups that came down to the wire. From the Grand Final between 4K and 64AMD there were some insane matches, headlined by Grubby vs WinneR and of course, ToD vs ElakeDuck. FoV vs Creolophus was also an amazing match from this series.

All in all, these are some videos that you certainly don't want to miss. Now that all six of the WC3L final matches have been released by ESLTV there's really no excuse not to have seen all of these extremely exciting matches. Enjoy!

We are very glad to announce you the start of our new international StarCraft Broodwar section. After getting two of the video streams two or so weeks ago, two more video streams are available for download from the WC3L Season VII finals! ESL-TV has released these two streams free, just like the last two that you can find here. The two that have been released today feature great matches between 4Kings.Intel & Team64.AMD as well as SK Gaming & mYm.Hanbit.

These two matches feature some great games, especially amazing were the matches between 4K.Grubby and 64AMD.WinneR as well as 64AMD.ElakeDuck against 4K.ToD. In the other match, the highlight game was SK.Zacard taking on mYm]GoStop, which turned out to be quite the nice series. These are some games that you certainly don't want to miss!

Today we have one Match of the first Matchday and one Match of the second Matchday in the European Nations Championship. Russia meets Italy and the Turkey can reach the first or second place in the Ranking with a win against Denmark. Germany uses his second and last wildcard and postpone the war against Poland. A new date is not official at the moment. The matches starts at 19.00CET.

Guild Wars is designed as player versus player game with a lot of role playing elements. The game is played 8vs8 in guild fights, but there are also ways to play with less players. We will start our Guild Wars activities with a cup and a ladder.

The new season is just a couple of weeks ahead but we have an important news concerning one of the participating clans. The champion of Season 6 Team64.AMD will leave the league. The team will be replaced by fnatic since a big part of the old 64AMD-squad joined them. fnactic's current roster consists of:
