CopenhagenThe end of the sixth WC3L-season is approaching with big steps as it is just four more days till the Playoffs in Copenhagen start. During the 4th and 5th of December Mousesports.BenQ, SK Gaming International, Meet Your Makers and Team 64AMD International will meet in the capital of Denmark to fight for the crown of the WC3L. The whole tournament will be played in double-elimination. Take a look at the grid to see all possible matches.

If you wonder where Team 3wD is - they sadly had to resign from the WC3L Playoffs because they could not get all the visa required for their players. That leaves the following fixtures in the first round:

64AMD.Int vs. mouz.BenQ
SK.Int vs. MYM
Please also note that we allowed the teams to add one player to their roster before the start of the finals after a mutual agreement between the clans. This player will be allowed to start playing in the second round of the tournament.

The locationThe location looks really promising. As you can see on the picture there will be a lot of room and nice atmosphere. That is why we invite you to visit us and watch the matches live and direct on a big screen, meet the players, admins and orgas and have a good time overall. The doors will open at 10:30 CET on Saturday and Sunday. The entry will be 25 DKK.

We take off this busy tuesday evening with a match in the first round of the looser bracket which opposes DkH.Multigaming against goodGame. While they both prepare for their next engagment, both teams suddenly perceive that they are in a pretty dreadful position, as they are confronted to eachother in this uncomfortable position, knowing there is no second chance for the loser.

We move on to our second match of the evening with the NightWolves meeting Ownage, this will most likely be a very interesting match considering they both have the opportunity to show they absolutly have the merit to claim a spot for next seasons WC3L edition. They are both so close to their goal, which makes it truly fascinating knowing both teams will fight till the end, until we know the name of the team joining the WC3L.

The following match is already at the next morning at 1:00 AM, with Storm Games Clan vs. Good Game League. They realise that after a pretty satisfying course into the qualifiers, the loser of this encounter goes home with nothing at all and that even the winner will have a long way to actually acquire a spot for the next season.

Tomorrow we're having a smashing duo of happenings ready for you. At first we're having the next King of the Hill match coming up. Embodied by our reigning champion: Phoenix_Remind, who decrowned SK.Madfrog last time and is Battle.net's Warcraft III Season One Solo Champion, playing against our new contestant: Swain[Frienz], who is considered to be one of the best human players in this galaxy.

You can't miss it! The match will be available via ESL-TV with Christian "Stoned" Wopen and Thomas "Storm" Schultz, so be sure to reserve your spots in time!

But that's not all for today, we're having a 'regular' match as well. Regular in this case is very relative, because this match wouldn't be regular if it wasn't for the King of the Hill to be happening at about the same time.

The only team wich is playing both the playoffs and the qualification (due to circumstances) will be facing the Swedes from Plan-B, wich promises to be an exciting match, given the fact that the winning team is guaranteed a spot in season 7.

No party tonight? Then we got something else for you: Lynx vs. jNg.
The Dutch guys around the former 4K-member Myth from Lynx suprised the German Warcraft III-scene with their victory over DkH in the second round, a team that did quite good in the current Season VI. Now we'll see whether this was just a lucky day or based on skill.
And while the german scene still was in a shock, the French's destiny was a similiar one, as jNg won the last WC3L quali-match against GG, who are considered to be French's best. Let's see, who is going to make it...

Many conceive them as subdivisions, some call them departments midst their original team or squad. Although they share the same background as respectively SK Gaming international and Team64.AMD International also known as their "bigger brothers" both SK Gaming Germany and Team 64 AMD Germany are anxious to be acknowledged as equivalent.

Despite their internal conflict, they are now opposed to each other which might lead to an intense clash between those two totally different looking teams in appearance yet sharing the same ambition.

As we proceed within the second round of the qualifiers, we've came to a stage where only the best are left.
The guys from Storm Games Clan struggled for the conservation of their WC3L spot last season but failed to preserve it.
Tonight at 19:00 CET they will once again attempt to acquire a qualification spot by overcoming the Swedish Ownage clan, which won't be an easy assignment considering they can depend upon some pretty reputable players such as DeliCato and SjoW.

Our second encounter is at 1:00 CET the next morning and will confront Good Game League facing the NightWolves. The Americans are considered to be amongst the favorites of this seasons qualifiers, this might give them a psychologically boost in this war.
The NightWolves on the other hand performed outstandingly well against lust eGaming with a overwhelming score of 4:0.

We are continuing the qualification tournament on this Monday with again two matches of the second round. The first game of the day will be Against All Authority against plan-B. At this stage it is getting really difficult to even predict a winner but with their recent addition named InToX the Frenchies might be considered as favourite. Nevertheless, they should not underestimate the Swedish powerhouse since they have really surprised everyone in the first round by crushing BTo with a stunning 3:0-score.

Our second match is once again opposing a French team namely GoodGame meeting the The JuNgLe TeaM. GG is considered to be the best French team by many people since the disbanding of the armaTeam. The only question is if they will be able to live up to those expectations.
It won't be easy for them as they will have to undo themselves from jNg, which can count on some excellent players such as PaTo and Skyward.

Tonight at 8pm round 2 of this season qualification is going to continue when the dutchies of Lynx will try to do their best against DkH.
Both teams have made some changes to their lineups recently. Lynx has acquired the services of the american Player Boo while DkH have recruted the 2on2 team Xeaser & Facilis. Tonight we will find out if any of these additions will decide the tug of war.

One hour later at 9pm we will see rSGaming battling it out against one one of the most promising clans of the "old europe". it managed to overcome a-L.MSI in round 1 and seem to be well prepared for the qualification, whether this will be enough to beat their american opponents remains to be seen.

This evening at 6 pm we will have another encounter between two top teams of the Warcraft 3 scene. On one side, we have 3wD, the international top clan who ended seventh in the last season, only one point behind the sixth place. With players like eNvious, Karma and their newest recruit BiGD, they are counted as one of the favorites for this year's qualification.
On the other side, the Team Pentagram lineup seems not very impressive on the first sight, but with players like Paladyn, who has been playing on a very high level lately, KrawieC, who has been a top player for a long time now, and the top 40 2on2 team Darksider/ TheDuke they don't have to be afraid of anyone.
The first game, between 3wD.BiGD and CNN.Paladyn has already been played yesterday, with the polish player coming up on top, giving CNN an important advantage in this clanwar. But will the underdog be able to claim enough wins to beat the favourite? We will find out - tonight at 6pm!

After 4K was forced to resign from the offline-finals in Denmark in December we have another bad news for you today. mTw.ATI, the current champions, have to quit the sixth season of the WC3L. The reasons team-manager mTw-Rax gave us:

I know this comes as a shock to the community and especially to ours fans, who in the past have always stood behind us, but unfortunately there was no other solution. Not participating in the WC3L playoffs is the most difficult decision we have had to make since the creation of our WC3-squad but several players having time constraints and LasH going inactive forced this decision. We are checking all possibilites but we just don't expect to reach our goal without him. Our goal is always top 2, I hope we can makeup for it the next season.

Due to this we decided to let the whole playoffs be held offline. This means that the match between MYM and 64AMD will be stopped at 2:2 and the deciding 2on2 will happen offline. 3wD can go to Copenhagen and will have their first match against SK.Int. The whole tournament will have a loser bracket - so let us still hope for a good and fun event in Denmark's capital in December!

Tonight at 6 pm we will see the final match of the qualifications first round. Like you all know by now, there is no second chance for the losers of the first round, no room for hesitations and mistakes, the winner gets it all.

It's a first-timer for the German squad of Team 64 AMD, the big question is : will they be able to step out their big brother's shadow and manage to qualify like the German squad of SK Gaming did last season?
That's what remains to be seen.

The guys from The God Inbodyment already tried - unsuccessfully - to qualify last season, but it seems they are ambitious and eager to obtain one of the six qualification spots. The opportunity to actually be the first Russian team entering the WC3L seems convincing enough but to accomplish their goal they have to win.

A day without WC3L action? Never! After clanwars at times like 5 am or 2 am we offer you a close-packed evening with 3 matches of the first Qualifaction Round.

We start off at 7pm with a premiere: The WC3L welcomes the first dutch clan: Lynx. Formed around the famous leader Myth they face The Burning Dawn, a team with many european top players.
On prime time we have another two great games. Everyone of you should know the Storm Games Clan after Season VI, a team which sadly got weakened during this season. But now its once again qualification time and they are ready for a new challenge.
On the other hand we have Templars of Twilight, the famous Starcraft clan, which also has a Warcraft III squad of international class, which is really eager to do their clan credit.
And finally Boomtown Odense are facing the swedish squad of plan-B. Two great teams with the potential to qualify for Season VII and I promise you, there won't be any giveaways until the winner is determined.

These three wars are overall expected to be very close and we are looking forward to some nice games and coverage (see "more")!

One spot to move on to the second stage of the qualifiers, two clans struggling for it, make sure you don't miss the action tonight at 8pm.

If we take a closer look we can notice both clans have made some changes to their lineup since their last attempt to join the WC3L.

against All Authority recently aqcuired the services of the former aT member named InToX in order to help them obtain one of those available spots and also claim back the french supremacy in the WC3L, which dissapeared after the departure of armaTeam.
Team 24x7 on the other hand, have nothing to worry about with their excellent players like former DSky player n0mad and their 2 new americans Boo and CADX2-Craft.

The action starts early at 5am when the former WC3L member RSGaming faces Australia United, which is basically an Australian allstar team. 14 hours later at 19.00 CET the old-schoolers of a-Losers.MSI will meet the Norwegian powerhouse of Incredible Teamaction. While that encounter will be in full swing the next two clanwars will start at 20.00 CET. The team of lust eGaming (formerly known as turs) will try to do their best against the NightWolves, the clan with the biggest squad in this qualification which has recently joined forces with TeG. At the same time the "nation vs nation match" of SK Gaming Germany vs. Chile will take place.

The good news first: The regular season is over! The last 2on2 between 3wD and 64AMD was won by [64AMD]Elakeduck and [64AMD]SaSe and so their opponent, 3wD will have to go to the qualify for the upcoming season. You can see the definite clantable here.

The bad news: The vice-champion of the last season, the Four Kings will not be able to take part in the offline finals. Sadly their engagement in Korea forces them to stay there longer as expected. The clan’s director tobes says:

Unfortunatly due to a number of circumstances and the fact that the team is now residing in Korea, it is with utmost regret that 4K shall not be able to attend the WC3L finals.

Due to this the first spot of 4K will be given to mouz.BenQ while the other teams ascend one rank on the clantable. This results in the following new ranking:

  1. mouz.BenQ

  2. SK.Int

  3. mTw.ATI

  4. MYM

  5. 64AMD

  6. 3wD
While #1 and #2 get a free ticket to the second round of the playoffs, the other four have to play the quarter-finals until next Sunday. These matches will be:

MYM vs. 64AMD

and

mTw.ATI vs. 3wD

The winning teams will join mouz.BenQ and SK.Int (as you can see in the grid) in the offline tournament which will be held in December. More information on that event will be published in the next couple of days.

Tonight at 8 pm the regular season comes to an end when the last 2on2 of 64AMD vs 3wD will be played. Both teams are currently even ranked with 21 points ,so this match will bring the decision which of the two teams will enter playoffs and which will have to requalify in the upcoming season 7 qualifier. Both clans hopes are in the hands of four players, one the one side the swedish duo [64AMD]SaSe & [64AMD]ElakeDuck who have won 2 matches so far this season, but as well lost two times. On the other side the russian duo 3wD.Karma & 3wD.Ranger who have combined 3 wins as well as 3 losses during the season.
It's do or die now and we can be sure both teams are prepared for this battle.
Lean back and watch this really exiciting match!

Let the games begin! From now on the qualification grid is available. Similar to last season's tourney we seeded the four descending teams 1st to 4th and the four most promising applicants 5th to 8th. The rest is randomly chosen. The tourney will be double-elimination except round one. So the teams that lose in the first round will not get the chance to play again.

Without further delay, here are the fixtures for the first round:

es4x vs. CNN
BTo vs. plB
24x7 vs. aAa
GGL vs. AMD.gmx
Nw vs. lust
Ownage vs. SkyR

SK.Ger vs. Chile
TGi vs. 64AMD.Ger
rS vs. Team AU
it vs. a-L.MSI
gg vs. lanfan
jNg vs. Puto
Daw vs. Lynx

Note:
Since the last match between 3wD and 64AMD is not decided yet it is still uncertain who of the two will have to play the qualification tournament. We added 3wD because our script needs a placeholder.
