Ready for the red carpet? The paparazzi? The post-award parties? Sorry, this isn't a movie awards show.

It's the ESL Warcraft 3 King of the Hill Challenge! This is something you don't want to miss. 4K.Grubby showed his strength against the Nightelf race by beating SK.Wizard 3-0 in the last challenge. His new opponent is FaTC who returned from his vacation sooner than expected and showed last Sunday in the WC3M semifinals that he is a strong contender by winning against Grubby 2-1. Prepare for an astonishing match with a lot of close and intense games. An appropriate presentation will be brought to you by Jens ‘GreatSam’ Hilgers.

This afternoon and evening we are going to see 5 superb matches. 10 out of 12 clans will play their playday 2 matches today, and that should be more than a guarantee for nice matches and replays.

Our first match will be Armateam vs DkH. Although both clans won their playday one matches, Armateam is still the favorite. They were able to beat last seasons champion mTw with 3:2 and proved they can beat anyone. DkH.Mystify won convincingly with 4:1 over SGC and scored their first WC3L points, but they still have to prove that they can compete with this league's best. We'll see if they can this tuesday 5pm CET!

It looks like we're going to see a very interesting match tomorrow. With Four Kings facing Team 64 AMD. The first team doesn't need any large introduction ofcourse. Last season they became runner-up and they'll be looking for a way to show their full strength to the community, so that everyone will know who should've been last season's champion. The second team, on the other hand isn't a newcomer either, they were part of the WC3L during Season III and IV, as gmpo and as 64AMD, but with a whole other squad. This time they did quite well during the qualifiers, and they will also be looking for a way to show their strength. But will this newly formed team be able to live up to the high expectations? With players like Caravaggio, King.Crimson and Zubie they don't have to fear any team, but as we all know, the guys over at 4K have an outstanding squad of their own. So who will prevail? Who will be king of the castle? And last but not least, who will not live in Belgium?

If we take a closer look at tomorrow's first match, we see the fratricidal war between SK Gaming International and SK Gaming Germany - two squads from one clan messing with each other. Although the two are different teams with each their own line-up, we cannot put aside that they have the same roots. SK.ger will certainly want to prove that they are able to step out of their big brother's shadow while the international team will try to repeat their win from last season.

In our second match we have two WC3L-newcomers: The first, Storm Games Clan, had to struggle in the loser bracket of the qualification tournament after a loss in the first round - but still they managed to qualify. DkH.Mystify on the other hand made a perfect walkthrough in the winner bracket. The clash between these two newcomers on the first playday will certainly have a deep impact on how the two teams will perform during the rest of their first regular season.

As a setting sun bathed the sky over Athens in salmon-pink splendor Friday night, the dawn of another chapter in Olympic history was about to begin -- in a stadium, in a city, indeed, in a country that skeptics worldwide never imagined would be ready for this defining moment for Greece.

But who cares right? We have our own Olympic games to worry about! This Sunday the WC3L will light their own torch and players will step up their gameplay to explosive levels. One team will celebrate, eleven others will wonder where their gold medal is.

With a strong friendship toward one other, MeetYourMakers and Destination Skyline will have to lay aside their feelings in an attempt to be the first to have breathing room for what lays ahead.

Tonight's clanwar at 20:00 CET could be compared to a clash of the titans in which the two undefeated clans in the qualification will fight for the win of the winner bracket. It's not about qualifying for the upcoming WC3L season anymore, it's all about the glory and the fame.
In the right corner we have Team 64AMD: They managed to obtain their qualification spot by beating teams like tuRs, rS and NAoC.
In the other corner we have Mousesports. Looking at the list of their opponents during this qualifier makes you burst out in sweat: eXe, TGi and GGL had to bow down to the German clan's strength.
Does the title of winning this fight mean enough for them? Or will the two teams rather take the opportunity to put their members at the test once again before the start of WC3L Season 6?
