Visitors of the WC3L Finals in Cologne may know it already, for the rest of you it is now downloadable online: ArmaTeam has produced in cooperation with Intel.France and Games-Production a professional video about the Finals of Season 4 in Paris, including gamescenes, interviews, gameanalysises and more. The videos length of 26 minutes leds to a size of 300MB, anyway it's really worth to download! So make sure to get a spot in the queue, you really won't regret it.

A quite similiar video will be available for Season 5's Finals, too, as the same camerateam was filming in Cologne as well. Until the release of that video, enjoy the Finals in Paris.

Today at 18:00 another match of the winner bracket's round two will be played out. The Russian team es4x has to face SK.ger, one of last season's clans that didnt make it into the play offs. SK.ger was recently able to improve their lineup considerably, taking in a huge part of the former ocrana squad. We will see tonight if it was enough improvement to beat es4x.

Still the whole ESL- and WC3L-staff is working heavily on preparing the great location in the heart of Cologne for the fifth ESL WC3L finals while this news is written. Tomorrow we will start with mTw facing 3wD at 10:00 CET. The armaTeam will start their match against the Danes of Meet Your Makers one hour later at 11:00 CET. Today's matches will be fought between Turkey and Slovakia (Group D) and Poland and Hungary (Group B). The match of group B will have no effect on the final rankings of the group. Both teams have 0 points and none can reach the required 6 points to qualify for the playoffs.

The match between Turkey and Slovakia however is more interesting. Though Turkey can no longer qualify for the playoffs, Serbia and Montenegro can still throw Slovakia out, if they win their match over Bulgaria (this match is wildcarded and will be played at a later time). Slovakia needs a win to ensure their participation in the playoffs.

From group D, Greece and Czech have already qualified. The match outstanding in this group will be taken out between these two teams.

vs. is cancelled. Both teams failed to show up.

Tonight a Group B clanwar is going to happen, as the teammanagers agreed on another date than the scheduled one: Poland vs. Denmark. Due to the fact that these two nations belong to the favourites of this group, we expect a very exciting and close war. Denmark can still reach the first place of group B, if they can win one of their games. Then Germany and Poland will have to go through the playoffs.

Round one of seasons 6's qualification tournement is coming to an end. Well, at least the winner bracket's part of it. The only remaining matches are the new and improved Team 64 AMD versus newcomer tuRs and the team wich didn't quite live up to its expectations last season: Mousesports, who will be battling it out with another newcomer, but this time from Germany: eXecute eSports.

Today, though three matches were planned, only one is about to be played. Sweden vs. Norway had to be aborted since Norway could not put forward a Team in time for the match. Sweden therefore wins 3 more points and now leads in group C with 12 points. However, after current playday 5, they will stay on #2 and that means, they will have to go through the playoffs.

Belgium vs. Ukraine was wildcarded by Ukraine. A new date will be announced as soon as possible. With a high win over the Ukraine (29:1 at least), Belgium would qualify for the playoffs and throw out Norway that way.

Today's third match, Finland vs. Iceland, is not of importance for the final results of the group stage. Even if Finland loses, they are already qualified directly for the Offline LAN Finals in Cologne, Germany. Iceland cannot reach the 3rd rank of this group and they can no longer qualify.

The end of season 5 of the ESL WC3L Series is approaching with big steps as it is just one more week till the Playoffs in Cologne start. During the 26th and 27th of June the the 4Kings, SK International, mTw, the armaTeam, Meet Your Makers and 3wD will meet in the heart of Germany to fight for the crown of the WC3L. The whole tournament will be played in double-elimination. Watch the grid to see all possible matches.

The location of this great event is in the Mediapark - a very modern part of Cologne. As you can see on the picture there will be a lot of room. That is why we invite you to come here and watch the matches live and direct on a big screen, meet the players, admins and orgas and have a good time overall. The doors will open at 9:00 CET on Saturday and Sunday. The admission will be 3,- € for one day and 5,- € for the whole weekend. The Playoffs are just another two weeks ahead but we have an important news concerning one of the participating clans. The Swedish team Infinity eSports will leave the current season. Instead the German clan 3wD will fill this hole since nearly the complete IeS-squad joined them. We collected three statements which further explain this big step. You can find them after clicking on 'more'.

With a little delay but still just in time: The grid of the qualification tournament for season 6 may now be found here. As you can see the tournament will be double-elimination. So if one team loses in the first or any further round it will go into loser bracket. The four teams from the last season got seeded 1st to 4th so that they do not meet in the first round. Additionally we seeded the four best applicants 5th to 8th. The matches of round 1 (June 15 - June 23):

As you can see we had to replace two contestants. First of all KeKo was not able to get the required five players in their roster. Secondly 3wD decided to not play the tournament. Team-Manager Four20 told us:

3wD will give up it's qualification spot. More details for that reason will be given Tuesday evening.

Due to that the Greek team 24x7 and the American team Good Game League got the opportunity to take part.

Tonight the last match in Group A is being played. France has beaten England yesterday. But this was soccer. Now it is Counterstrike. France needs a win to qualify for the playoffs. The United Kingdom needs a high win to become first in Group A, as without doing playoffs this is the easiest way to take part in the ENC Finals. Whoever wins, it will be an exciting game.

Though the United Kingdom has won 22:8, the match is counted as 20:10. The UK Team violated the ENC Rules by boosting a player to this position. For this happened during a pistol round two more rounds are given to France.

Playday 4 of the European Nations Championship in Warcraft 3 goes into another round as most of the Scandinavian countries show off their great skills tonight at 20:00 CET. To be exact,
Ukraine will encounter Belgium. Finland faces
Iceland and Sweden will have an all Scandinavian match against their neighboring country Norway. We are looking really forward to many exciting games and to some intense and close matches.

Additionally Serbia and Montenegro encounters Greece in a really promising match and Bulgaria wants to show us their strength once again in their match against Slovakia at the very same time. We all know, Pizza without Cheese isn't very tasty. Tonigh the National Teams of The Netherlands and Italy will face each other in the last playday of the ESL European Nations Championship. De_dust2 will be the Map and the Netherlands has to win to get the first place in Group A. This first place will mean that they are directly qualified to the lanfinals. In the ESL WC3L Series the end of the regular season and the start of the playoffs always go hand in hand with a big qualification tournament for every team that is able to mess with the best.
After a three weeks lasting application period we had an immense list of 61 clans applying for this league. We had to sort out the 28 most interesting and promising teams which will accompany the relegated teams DSky, SK.Ger, mouz and pG.int in the 32 slot tournament.
