Schroet Kommando will be taking on the lackadaisical 64AMD European team. Come 20:00pm CET tomorrow evening you may want to avoid this site at all costs, heed my warning that you will be exposed to world class replays from unnaturally skilled gamers such as Insomnia, Survivor, Delicato, and Nitemare. These dull bums will be battling for the insignifigant title of the #5 ranked team in Europe. (copied from GheNTho's news 'Supine Sunday')

Only the most brilliant of teams earn the right to compete in the WC3L semi finals. It's already a wonderful accomplishment to have come this far in such a daunting atmosphere, but I imagine neither team will be satisfied with defeat. Based on popular opinion and recent LAN results it would be obvious to give 4K the advantage. Although nearly everyone agrees that this won't be a one-sided affair, I'd hope that most people aren't foolish enough to rule out the fearless Finns.

Monday, 02/02/04 23:59 | WC3L
After some delays we finally managed to finish round 1 of our qualification tournament for season 5. This round was single elimination and some clans had to find out first hand how hard this can be. Some of the clanwars where decided in the last game after a total score of 2:2 and a match score of 1:1. The 2nd round did meanwhile already start, all games have to be played from 2nd till 8th February. Please note that with this round 2 also double-elimination mode begins. So every clan who might lose isn't automatically out of the qualification but goes to a loser bracket.

Be sure to check out the Qualification Grid, to get an overview of what's going on.

In case you missed any of the matches, here is a summary of what has happened in round 1:

After SK's surprising loss to mTw in the play off's first round we had a short chat with the squadleaders SK.NuKe and mTw|Rax tonight. Here is a short excerpt:

What do you think about SK’s loss to mTw? Why did you lose?
Nuke: Because they were more motivated and played better than us would be the right answer. I believe that our mind and team spirit is already @ season5. We know a kinda hard time :(

» Read the whole statement off SK.Nuke.
