Today we got 3 very interesting matches coming up in the WC3L that can be very decisive on the outcome of the regular season. We have mTw vs. 4K. mTw took 3rd place overall in season 2 and currently they are ranked 6th. mTw has won 4/8 games, accumulating 23 points. However, 4K has made themselves known in season 3 as a team to be reckoned with. Even though this is their first time in WC3L, their ranks are filled with very experienced players. 4K holds the #2 position and has won 5/8 games accumulating 28 points. Interestingly enough, even though 4K has a commanding lead over mTw in the current ranks, the polls are very close as mTw is favoured by 6% over 4K 53:47% out of 58 votes. Gmpo facing off against pG. gmpo is currently in 10th place and has won 2/8 games, aquiring a total of 15 points. pG is in 7th place with 5/7 games and 21 points. The polls are highly in favour of pG over gmpo 91:9% out of 58 votes. Our 3rd matchup has bmf.headz facing rS. bmf.headz are in 11th place and have 2/7 wins with 14 points. rS. holds 3rd place currently with 7/9 games won and 33 points. This match is very important for rS. because aT is very close to overtaking them in the overall ranks, should rS. suffer an upset to bmf.headz. The polls are highly in favour of rS. showing 71:29% (58 votes) over bmf.headz. There will once more be a German shoutcastcast from mymtw! WC3L season 3 is just 2 weeks away from the playoffs and it's therefore time to start with the qualifiers for season 4. During the last 10 days we received 38 applications from clans that wanted to join the WC3L. Unfortunatley we're not able to give all of them a chance to play so 14 teams had to be chosen for the qualifier games. Three of them have the possibility to take part at the WarCraft 3 Champions League. A lot of people complained about that Lost Temple is still the first map in every WC3L game, especially because it is no 2on2 ladder map any more in TFT. We totally agree with that, first because of the fact mentioned above, and second because we do not want to see Lost Temple being played that often since there are a lot of well balanced maps in TFT.
That made us change the mapsystem. From now on, the first map in every game will be selected randomly from the mappool. This will be done by an automated script, we do not have any influence on it. After that, it is loser´s choice again, but a map can no longer be played twice. The first map for every game can be found in the playday overview as soon as the playday starts. The new system will be used from playday 9 on, you can find the maps for that playday already in the overview. Tonight Schroet Kommando will play the a-Losers for 5 points in the race for the WC3L championship. As probably all of you already know the teams i will elaborate a little on the chances for both teams to win this particular clanwar. I think dan/dalai will win their 2v2. Wickedgame has an OK chance in his 1v1. Zentric might win. I wouldn't think so however. Im pretty sure the result will be 3-2 in either way. It looks like we will see a close match today with slightly bigger chances for SK to get away with the win. After some trouble last week, finaly
a-L and 4K found a date, to play their PD 7 match. Maybe the fight will show us some important changes in the higher Clan Table rankings, since at the top of it the clans are quite close up to one another. Ocrana.D-Link and Black Mesa Forces will be played game per game during this week, since both clans can´t agree upon a time to play all of them at once. Ocrana did really well in their last match vs 4K, which they won 3:2, and have good chances (according to our tippers 66%) to beat bmf as well.
