After many hours of work a first version of our Go4WC3 and WC3L replay database has gone online. We've already filled it with an almost complete replay pack of the 7th Go4WC3 Invite Tourney and about 150 WC3L replays, each of them showing very good players.
Only WC3L Players and Admins will be allowed to upload replays, but since uploading replays is very easy and quick you'll find almost every WC3L and top Go4WC3 tourney replay in there in future. Of course, searching for them will also be very easy. Check it out!

Today at 8pm CET the last match of playday 4 will be played. Facing each other are Mortal Teamwork, currently ranking 3rd , and RsGaming.com, ranked 10th. The tipgamers give rS only a 2% chance to win this one, but rS was given only a 16% chance vs a-L as well, and they still managed to win. So we will maybe see a surprise again, but for sure some good games! Stay tuned for lineups and replays!

Again we have two interesting matchups. In the first one, e.Sports united will face OCRANA.D-LinK. esu hasn´t won a single clanwar up to now and is therefor currently ranked 12th. Ocrana didn´t do much better and only won one clanwar, placing 9th. So this might be esu´s chance to achieve their first victory, although ocrana needs this win nearly as much as they do.
In our second match, two newcomers to the wc3l will battle each other. Both of them, Four Kings and Black Mesa Forces, played very well up to now and are currently ranking 5th ( 4K) and 4th ( bmf).

In today's only clanwar XSa (XSarena) will face A- (a-Laget). As almost all clans in this season a-Laget and XSarena showed pretty unpredictable shape in their first three clanwars. To wrap up play day 3 the last remaining clanwar [pG] (Pro Gaming) vs. mTw (mTw.alternate) will be played Tuesday at 7:30pm CET; the rest of the war SK vs. ocr will be played today.
The war vs. mTw is a new chance for [pG] to prove their competitiveness after two clanwars on play days 1 and 2 with very surprising results and no real indication as to their competitiveness. First came the surprising win over 4^Kings. After this match [pG] was considered a top contender for a play off place. Then they lost 1:4 to a-Losers - what a drawback! [pG] (Pro Gaming) vs. mTw (mTw.alternate): Tuesday 7:30 pm CET

This Sunday four WC3L matches will be played. At 6:00 the games start with the clanwar 4K (4^Kings) vs. aT (armaTeam). This clanwar is one of the regular season's highlights, 4K and aT both being clans capabe of reaching a playoff place. The match vs the last season's second is also a chance for 4^Kings to prove that they can compete at the WC3L top level, something they failed to show in the clanwar they lost vs. [pG].
The second clanwar, which starts at 7:30pm, will be XSa (XSarena) vs. bmf (bmf.headz). 64% of the tip-gamers think that XSarena will win this clanwar.
At 8pm SK (Schroet Kommando) and ocr (ocrana.D-Link) face off. I wonder if the 3% of the tip-gamers, who think ocrana will win, also had their sisters' rabbits pick the results. Whatever, my sister's rabbit says ocrana wins 5:0 - no chance for SK tonight.
Last but not least eSu (Esports United) goes to war with A- (a-Laget) at 8:30 pm. The tip-gamers think a-Laget will win, but overall the result of this clanwar is the least obvious of all wars today.
4K (4^Kings) vs. aT (armaTeam): 6pm CET

This weekend's first clanwar is the one between rS (rSgaming) and aL (a-Losers). The war started today at 6pm CET.
The tip-gamers see the a-Losers clearly ahead; they accord a-L a 84% chance to win. I have my doubts though if this will hold true because a-L proved to be unpredictable in their two first clanwars. First they lost to ocrana, who were far behind a-L in the last season. In the second match they won over [pG] one of this season's top contenders.

Due to a database error we've lost all accounts and tips of our tip game. At the moment we're verifying if we can restore it in any way, since I don't have any recent backups of my own here.
Well, un1ty of our hoster ingame.de raised my hopes again when he told me that they're making backups every night. Let's see what we can do...

**Special feature!**
Once more we are able to present an superb special feature to one of our matches. This time one of our new admins Evilmaus did a realy huge, great and interesting interview with A-Limmet from a-Laget.
» Interview with A-Limmet:
Evilmaus: Well, to begin with, would you please be so kind and tell us your name, age, residence and school or work status and maybe, if you want to, something about your social life?
A-Limmet: Christian "Limmet" Rydkvist... 20 years old
A-Limmet: Studying at Linkopings university in Sweden.. chemical biology... just finished first year out of 4
A-Limmet: I'm living in a 3 room and kitchen apartment with my girlfriend...
Evilmaus: How do you like your studies? I think it's a very hard one
A-Limmet: Nah not really... usually I spend 3-4 hours in school/day .. and in my spare time. I just start with studying one week before exams. But I like the subjects and I'm really interested in it but I'm the kind of person that doesn't do more than what is necessary =)
Evilmaus: Professional gaming is very time-consuming. How do you manage to accommodate your passion for playing and university?
A-Limmet: Its not that hard... when there are exams outstanding, I cant play that much, otherwise I have as much time as I want to play... all in all 3-4 hours per day
Evilmaus: What do friends of yours and your girlfriend in particular think about computer gaming, or, are there a lot of players in your circle of friends? Are they rather irritated or perhaps even against it?
A-Limmet: My friends are pretty much the same like me, so there are no problems occurring. My girlfriend accepts it but if it wasn't for her I would play more... Usually I don't play when she's around if there isn't some sort of clan match/tournament... but since she got loads of other things to do there is much time for me to play, which is my main and probably only hobby at the moment..
Evilmaus: :)
Evilmaus: I'm sure your girlfriend appreciates this very much :)
Evilmaus: And what is your status in school in general like? Do other pupils tend to laugh about you, or do the opinions steer in the completely other direction?
A-Limmet: Hmm? Why should anyone laugh about me? It's not like in a 20k university where everybody knows and says "ahh there is that geek playing 3 hours/day wc3" But sure there are many people who think I take gaming to serious sometimes...But you see there are other things in life than gaming EVEN for me...
Evilmaus: that wasn't meant offending at all
Evilmaus: but my experience was that there is such an attitude and I know players suffering from this
A-Limmet: Yes there is... especially in younger ages... But in my age/community its pretty much accepted...
Evilmaus: yeah, that's fairly good :)
A-Limmet: I try to separate my gaming life from my real life at school so that's maybe why I don't experienced it that much. But as gaming community is growing, I'm sure it will be more and more accepted as time goes..
Evilmaus: This leads immediately to my next question. E-sports still isn't respected as a "real" sport; how would you, for yourself, consider the attitude of the public, politics and industry towards gaming, and what are the prospects of e-sports in the near and distant future?
A-Limmet: I think it will be accepted as a real sport in time but it will still take many years and there have to be more "fair" and "competitive" games for that besides wc3 to make it a "real sport"
Evilmaus: do you mean with "fair" less cheating?
A-Limmet: yes and like less "luck" factors. I know there is luck in many real sports, also like football. But in games there can be extreme once
Evilmaus: To go on I'd like to question you about your clan and your plans for wc3. When did you join A-laget and what were the circumstances that made you join the clan?
A-Limmet: Ok first of all. Me and my friend, with nickname Zera, founded in 1999 a clan called Critical Forces or [CF] for the game broodwar. This clan died out due to inactivity and that bw got old. But when wc3 was released we started it once again... So after a while and some progress on clanbase and in swedish leagues the counterstrike clan A-laget asked us to become their wc3 section. We had offers from other multi-gaming clans before, but they didn't seem to be that serious and A-laget had performed well before in cs, in Sweden as well as in Germany.
Evilmaus: So you started playing wc3 right from the very beginning on?
A-Limmet: Well yes. But we just played on rare occasions at the beginning... It wasn't before sometime in October we started playing more and take in new members again.
Evilmaus: As you just mentioned, A-laget is a multi-gaming clan and its members are of several nationalities. Does this result in conflicts and how do you get along with the players from the other squads?
A-Limmet: It works well with us. Every section has its full rights to decide over their own members and what they want to play. And its great because now we can focus on playing instead of writing news about our playing on the homepage as there are orgas doing this for us now.
Evilmaus: Well, I think this is very important for a clan as a whole being successful
A-Limmet: So we haven't experienced this problem that much, but that is maybe because we aren't really that serious, so money is not involved yet... Because I know many other clans have problems getting tickets and get paid for special events.
Evilmaus: yeah that's right :)
A-Limmet: But as we haven't requested this so far we haven't had the problems yet. But it would be really nice if we someday could get money to play in an offline tournament somewhere.
Evilmaus: oh, I can imagine that :)
Evilmaus: What other goals has A-laget set for its future and which tournaments are planned to participate in?
A-Limmet: Ehm our goal right now is to build up a stable wc3 team, which will convert to tft after this wc3l season. Main goal right now is to win clanbase open cup which we are in the semifinals right now. Another goal is to end up somewhere in the middle of wc3l so we don't have to qualify for the coming season. Also we are aiming for the euro cup next season which we missed due to a loss of 3:2 in the qualifiers against this year's finalists GoL. And of course keep having fun when playing. If there is no fun in playing it won't work. As we have no money and LAN sponsors we can't participate in any of the big tournaments in Europe this summer. But we will try to qualify some players to the Cyber X Gaming which will be somewhere in the U.S., if I haven't got it wrong..
Evilmaus: what you said about having fun in playing is one thing I also found very important and it's nice to hear that A-laget has this attitude
Evilmaus: :)
A-Limmet: =)
Evilmaus: And how do you assess the chances of A-laget in the league and for tourneys?
A-Limmet: I think we'll have a good chance winning the open cup. But there are strong teams like TeG left. I think I'll have reasonable chances to qualify to the cyber x gaming because there will be quite a few places to take. About the wc3l I think we'll have a fair chance also managing to get in the middle of the league - if the TFT release doesn't hurt our playing in classic to much.
Evilmaus: I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :)
A-Limmet: Thx :)
Evilmaus: The next thing I would now like to talk about is the new patch 1.06, and I'm very interested in what you think about the changes and whether there are any improvements you would suggest?
A-Limmet: I think that it was a well needed patch with good changes. But what bothers me is that all those changes come from tft. But they just took like 1/3 of the changes from 1.05 for the current tft version. So right now its kind of unbalanced I think. NE which used to be the strongest race is now probably the weakest since they got all nerfes and nothing better, while human (my race) didn't get the nerfes they had in tft and just kept all good things. So right now I think human is a bit overpowered but I don't know wether I'm correct... it's too early to say. I also think NE nowadays got huge problems dealing with orcs and their raiders... as well as orcs' antiair is even worse than before. making them really vulnerable to air like gargs/wyrms
Evilmaus: ok, so you would improve NE a little bit to get a fair match-up, right?
A-Limmet: Yes, but that is fixed for tft. But right now I think they are a bit weak. But I'm not sure - maybe its just because they were so damn strong before.. But NE doesn't really has a good opportunity to counter riflemen nowadays at least.
Evilmaus: Regarding the invite tournament. How do you like the lineups?
A-Limmet: I think they are good. Most players are there who should be there :) But maybe a few are missing and some who shouldn't be there =) but I'm not the one to say that really ^^
Evilmaus: Who do you think has the best chances to win the tournament?
A-Limmet: I'm sure it will be a human player. But I think mouse[pg] wins or another human =)
Evilmaus: :)
Evilmaus: Who do you think are the best 3 players across Europe except me, of course :D
A-Limmet: ehm... 1# myself...
A-Limmet: nah just kidding
A-Limmet: hmm. hard one
A-Limmet: At the beginning when I learned to play, I really liked survivor :) But I don't think he is placed with the top 3, but asI learned so much from him the list will be:
A-Limmet: 1. madfrog
A-Limmet: 2. insomina
A-Limmet: 3. survivor
A-Limmet: I'm a human player right.. That's why 2 humans on top... and frog who every time just kills all humans
A-Limmet: =)
Evilmaus: Has your assessment something to do with the changes of the new patch, or didn't it affect your choice at all?
A-Limmet: Well, I haven't seen much of the players in 1.06, so my list is from 1.05 and because I liked their way of playing and learned lot from their replays...
Evilmaus: Is there a certain strategy you try to impose or is your style of playing rather centered around e.g. harassment.
A-Limmet: My way of playing is strictly creeping/defending to get high lvl heroes and a large army which is the main power of humans I think. And as I very often go for a fast expansion I will be the defending part because many players trie to harass/take it out. But I like it and think human are good at it. But in hu vs hu I try to play offensive nowadays. You really lose loads of money with your miltia dying and don't have them working and that you can't afford aga
Evilmaus: Are you looking forward to the upcoming Blizzard games (WoW, sc2, etc)?
A-Limmet: World of warcraft yes. That will be a gr8 game I think which I' going tö play a lot :). Sc2 even so because I really loved sc. I think I'll like it too if I'm not to old when that game ships... hehe
Evilmaus: Last but not least, it would really interest me, what your personal opinion is about women playing WC3 and whether you've already had any experience or even know women sharing this passion?
A-Limmet: I think it would be great if more women started to play what maybe will get some of all those immature boys to behave a little bit better. I only have like 2-3 online friends that are girls and are playing rts games. But they soon get bored and quitted with it :) .. So more women into gaming would be nice.
Evilmaus: That's what I wanted to hear
Evilmaus: :)
A-Limmet: =)
Evilmaus: Maybe there is something you would like to say at the end of our nice interview :)
A-Limmet: "I just want to say hello to my friends in A-laget and to everyone else who reads this and knows me including zart"
Evilmaus: I really hope you also enjoyed this interview!?
A-Limmet: Yes I did thanks for interviewing me
Evilmaus: Oh, i think it's on me to say thank you
A-Limmet: =)
A-Limmet: Hope you like it on wc3l.de and hope you stay!
Evilmaus: :) that's very kind of you

Tuesday, at 7pm CET 4K. (4^Kings) plays versus [pG] (Pro-Gaming).
4 Kings, a newcomer in this season, was able to recruit several high profile players for their team - among others Didi8 the winner of the Clikarena lan. [pG], a clan well-known from the previous seasons, also managed to present a reinforced roster by adding several new players to the latter, including Plague, Germany's best.
Our Tip-Gamers accord 4K a 77% chance to take this match home. Nevertheless it remains unclear how strong these two teams really are, and this match will be a first benchmark for both teams.
In the second game tonight we will see SK, who won last season, fight it out against the newcomers from bmf. Our Tip-Gamers accord SK a solid 100% chance to win this match. Nevertheless we might see a surprising outcome, especially with Patch 1.06 in mind.
Today we will also have a shoutcast for all our German listeners. Our very own Go4WC3.Spirit will moderate the radio cast this evening. He is going to start with his program at about 6.45 PM. The stream server is powered by Ethletics. You can listen to the stream by clicking on the following link:

The time has finally come for mTw (mTw.alternate) and A- (a-Laget) to have their say in the WC3L.
As [pG] vs 4K should have been for 4K, this will be a first benchmark for a-Laget's competitivity in the WC3L. mTw, last season's third, is a tough first opponent. Nevertheless a-Laget showed considerable skill when they defeated Ai 4:1 in the qualification. Furthermore a-Laget was able to add another high skilled 2v2 team to their lineup during the qualification phase.
We will see today if all these skills are sufficient to beat a top WC3L team at 8:30pm CET. There will be a German shoutcast featuring Seth & Kotan from gamesports.de.
mTw (mTw.alternate) vs. A- (a-Laget): 8:30pm
mTw-Turin & mTw-Virus vs. Strailer & Leech 2:1
Replays: Game1 - Game2 - Game3
mTw-Lash & mTw-Tak3r vs. Limmet & Yxel 2:1
Replays: Game1 - Game2 - Game3
mTw-Tak3r vs. Limmet 2:0
Replays: Game1 - Game2
mTw-Lash vs. Zera 2:0
Replays: Game1 - Game2
mTw-ThePig vs. Torian 2:1
Replays: Game1 - Game2 - Game3
So the total score is: 5:0
