Hi folks it's once more the Fruitbomb. For the third time this sunday i'm going to write some interesting stuff to keep you clans, players and fans of the wc3l out there up to date concerning the wc3l! The wc3l-staff has 4 more important things that got to be mentioned here before this week turns towards its end:


WC3L season 1 comes to an end:

Now that the last 2on2 between a-L and T-F and with it all games of season 1 have been played it's not only a fact that Schroet Kommando won the first Season of the WC3L but also that Advanced Online Losers finished third and with that as the best german team. The final clantable of season one can be found here and a complete player ranking with new additional features like sort options is available here. As you can see SK.SuRviVoR was able to claim the second position due to T-F 2on2 loss.


WC3L qualification matches:

A few days ago the qualification matches for the next wc3l season started and we already got 2 finla scores. While we already had to say goodbye to former wc3l member and one of wc3l best organized and mannered members Team_PcN we are able to say hello to the first french clan within the wc3l: Netco.sTar. I will soon give you a short overview over their players. At the same time Iomega did a better job defending their wc3l spot against Team United. We will keep you up to date during the next day concerning the other 3 qualification matches featuring Armateam vs. Demons of Starcraft (will be played monday 8.30pm CET), mTw.alternate vs. Alien Invasion (will be played wednesday 5.30pm CET) and aDK vs. The-Feared (is played at no certain date due to holidays)


WC3L season 2 coming soon:

The 2nd wc3l season is going to start soon! To be precise we already want to start this thursday and as well as the qualification matches are going we will be able to do so. So the first playday of wc3l season 2 will be february 27th 2003 8pm CET. The wc3l will then have a week off 2 weeks later on march 13th due to the CPL in Cannes because we think that a lot of the clans playing in the wc3l will send their best players there. For the new season we updated our rules and even added some more in order to make the wc3l more fair and even more interesting! Due to the new rules we will have a new system to determine next season winner. We will not only have playdowns this time but also playoffs featuring the best 4 clans of season 2. Our best wishes to all 10 clans who will be able to participate in the wc3l. Fair play, good games and tons of fun wishes your wc3l-staff!


Admins wanted!:

The wc3l staff is still looking for some new members as well as the Go4WC3 staff does. To be able to work as an admin you should fullfill the following criteria:

- 18 years minimum age
- safe in writing (English)
- being able to handle problem situations
- frequently on-line (particularly thursday)
- very good English

A few days ago the two clans [aDK] (aDK) and T-F (The-Feared) got their lineups online so they could start playing whenever they got some time left. So suprisingly they got their qualification match for the third wc3l spot going today and will continue it during the next days. We will keep you up to date concerning the actual standings and try to add some replays of theit matches. GL & HF to both clans wishes your wc3l-team!

Hi and hello to all clans, players and fans out there. The WC3L season is turning towards its end and the winner is already set. Nevertheless we still got some very interesting games coming up during the next few days which will determine which clans will be able to stay within the league without any risk and which will have to play a qualification match against one of the 5 contenders. Today we got 3 matches of playday no9 coming up as well as an old matchup from playday no3 which could have a critical impact on the run for non qualifying positions. We will add more infos and the opposing brackets (The opposing clan brackets will be visible 60 minutes before the start of the clanwar) during the day and try to arrange an english and german shoutcast and we will add more news, scores and replays during the evening. So stay tuned for further updates. Todays matches will feature international clans as well as german clans and are as follows:

*update* Two clans will play two matches today so there is no exact starting time for their second match. Those matches will start as soon as the [pG] vs. ioM) has ended.

*update* We are once more able to present an english shoutcast featuring "TSN-Wack_Steven" He will start casting the Go4WC3 tournament at 6pm CET and then switch over to some of our WC3L matches at about 7pm CET. Unfortunately there will be no german shoutcast today cause they will cast the Go4WC3 tournament all night.

*update* The lineups for the first 2 matches are available now and it seems like all clans are able to throw in most of their best players for this decisive final playday.

*update* Steven just casted his first wc3l match for today and we all were able to listen to a dominating first game win by Mouse[pG] and Racor[pG]. iom)Smurphet and iom)leolaporte will try to strike back with an aow-rush during Stevens 2nd cast.

*update* Smurphet was just able to even up the scores playing an awesome game nearly on his own against two top players after leolaporte diconected from the bnet after a few minutes of gaming.

*update* All 1on1 matches exept smurphet vs. twinsen are defwins for ioM) cause the [pG] players didn't show up. So the current score is 3:1 for ioM).

*update* Smurphet was just able to win the 1on1 against Twinsen so the finla score is [pG] vs. ioM): 1:4. I will upload the replays as soon as i can get a hand on them. GG both clans even if there were some misunderstandings and defwins involved.
