WC3L Season VI Team Introduction

|
Last Tuesday was just another gorgeous day here, one of those afternoons when you feel guilty if you aren't doing something -- heading to the beach, taking a hike, playing some hoops, lounging by the pool, whatever. Of course, I stayed indoors for my first glimpse of the Dazzling Dozen and I'm incredibly pleased and excited to announce the WC3L teams of this season. Click more to hear all about the teams! Update: 4K tends to put other players in a position where they feel like they are standing on an Autobahn median -- helpless and trapped by the speed of the activity around them. The runner up of Season 5 have their eyes set to take it all. Obviously 4Kings is very serious about improving their gameplay, as Grubby, Fury and Zeus are moving to Korea to dive into what some SK.Int players experienced months ago. It will be very interesting to see how this team elevates from last season. This team is dynamite, dominated by an All-star lineup. Last season at the WC3L, they came very close and are aiming for number one which they firmly believe they deserve. With team-manager SK.NuKe retiring from the game scene entirely, these guys will need to focus on keeping unity amoung themselves. Which probably shouldn't be a problem for creative and innovative players who have all ready become great friends. As most people believe, they'll have a phenomenal season. All of them have improved their game, and within their SK-pride, they'll be ready to explode. These guys took their first step towards bragging rights with the victory over SK.Int a few weeks ago in the preliminary war, prooving to everyone why they earned last year's season title. The loss of SK.Wizard was incredibly serious. For prior-team chemistry, it's a blow, and now the German squad must understand that this adventure won't be easy. However with Ghostridah returning, I believe mTw retains the name of a "dominating force" and can hurt the opposition in a number of ways. With Taker's impressive tower schemes and Aether's Death Knight control, it's a group that knows what needs to get done. Coming in fourth last season, ArmaTeam has become very well suited for a season 6 affair. As you may or may not know, two of ArmaTeam's top-notch players weren't able to attend most of last season's wars. Both aT-ToD (currently 9th on Northrend ladder) and aT-Deadman (2nd on Northrend ladder) are able to compete this time around and are very serious about winning it all. Both are premier players in the WC3L, and you can expect them to be even better with the year's experience. Team manager Nordahl and QuiSh have to try and be excited about their team this season, and Bjarke is one key reason why. This September, the Danish powerhouse, Bjarke, will be leaving for mandatory army duty. With an important player going inactive, this team will need to step up their gameplay and morale if they want to reach their "top 3 or better" goal. However, the presence of the returning korean player, Susiria, will bring smiles to the MYM crowd and assist them in Bjarke's spot. Let's also not forget about the addition of old school partners Ace and Corey. Believe it or not, this duo has played over 2 thousand games together without voice communication. That's magic! Unfortunately, Team 3wD has lost one of their best 2v2 teams this season, Delicato and Sjow. However, team captains have given us indication that Team 3wD isn't an easy target. They do, in fact, have two good 2v2 teams and the capability to rank in the top 6. It's really a matter of time to see if 3wD can show us all how well they can manage as a changed group. It's obviously possible as team mTw showed us in the past. Last season, DSky showed both SK.Int and SK.Ger how strong they can be if they give it their all. Their gameplay, vision and experience is clearly good enough to be effective in the WCL. Last season, they came in 7th. Which is something unfortunate as they were forced to go into the quali bracket to attempt to rejoin the current season. Well, they're here! And with powerhouse players like eNvious, Demon-TT and sAtiiNi, there is a lot of potential. These guys are fresh faces in the WC3L under the name of 64AMD, but dont underestimate their potential by any means. With incredible players like Cara, Zubie, KingCrimson, and ex-SK player Soul, it would be incredibly easy to write a page summary on this team alone! On the flip side however, the great American player, Bey, has left 64AMD, which could cause a lowered morale for the entire team. But with the remaining onslaught, I can easily see this team looking very alive. With a lineup laden with such old school players as Jan and Dark, and devoid of big egos, Mousesports attack like rabid canines day in and day out. The untempered energy makes them very dangerous as they have gone 5-0 in qualifications. What they will have to overcome is their ability to take on big name clans. Last season they came in at 11th place and to these guys, that's something they've been working on. Their devotion to the scene is clear, as they released the only impressive WC3 movie ever to demonstrate to be as "skills". I feel that this team has improved and I think we're all excited to see how they do. In their first appearance in the WC3L, this small German squad has a history worth rooting for. Forming in the days of Brood War amoung clan xD, this clan has evolved over a long period of time. They wanted others on their team who had a strong love for the community so they were very accepting of friends who had faith for clan DkH. At last season's qualifiers, they hired two Russian players, Podox and True. Unfortunately that didn't move on, but the team did as a group. The combination of both German and Russian players have a strong friendship and are incredibly pleased to show themselves to the entire Wc3L community. In an incredibly close match versus pG.Int last week, SGC advanced in their first ever appearance in the Wc3L. The beast from the east has completely dominated almost all competitions in the Slovak Republic since 2003 and shouldn't be taken lightly as an opponent. In May 2004 InTheEnd- joined the clan to make their W3 squad stronger for WC3L qualification and it obviously paid off. This team was thrilled to enter the Wc3L this season. In their game versus GGL, they were able to display why they deserve to advance into the WC3L with pure power. As we all know from last season, the league is very tough from top to bottom and SK.Ger had difficulties maintaining a positive record. This time, they can make a bit more noise with experience under their belt and their ability to step up makes this team a real threat.
