Regular season review

Stats: 7 Wins, 3 Losses, 28 Points

It's been a long time since SK Gaming could be really considered a favourite for the championship. The clan which won the very first two seasons of the WC3L showed consistency in the past years but it was never enough for another first place. This season promised to be nothing else before the management decided to make a big move. After Playday 1 they acquired the major part of the reigning champions from World Elite: The Koreans Lyn, ReMinD and SoJu joined the European team, accompanied by their manager reis.

Once the Koreans were eligible to play after playday 5, things brightened up for the veteran clan and they finished the regular season with great 28 points and a promising third place. Especially Lyn has to be pointed out who finished the season as the team's best soloist with 14-6 stats and victories against players like Satiini, SaSe and Susiria.

Interview

Team-Manager Min-Sik 'reis' Ko was up to a little question-and-answer game and gave us his assessment of his and the other teams.

WC3L.Shawn: Your first match during the finals will be against your former team World Elite. Does this motivate you and your players to try even harder to win? Are there any hard feelings between you and your old team?
SK.reis: It's kind of special to play against WE because last season we won the league as WE and now we play against them. There are no hard feelings because a different World Elite-team is coming to the finals with a lot of good and talented players. I'm looking forward to meet them and it will be an exciting clanwar. We are really motivated to win the WC3L again and for this we have to win the match against WE. It's pretty sad that ReiGn couldn't come but things can't be changed... Good luck to WE and let's have good games!

WC3L.Shawn: Adding ReMinD, SoJu and Lyn obviously brought SK Gaming back to the top of the league. How good are the chances with this improved lineup to win the championship? No SK team managed to win the league since 10 seasons...
SK.reis: I guess our chances are pretty good but nobody knows. We have a good team and against teams like Bet and MYM we have a little advantage because of their Undeads. With the three additions and our Europeans we built up a really strong team which can win the WC3L again.

WC3L.Shawn: Lyn was nominated for the Most Valuable Player-vote though during the Finals he will be only one of seven players in your team. How important is he really for SK?
SK.reis: Lyn is one of the key players and he had an awesome year winning the MGC and the Extreme Masters event in Los Angeles which showed his great potential. During the season he won almost all his games and in NGL ONE the same. He is for sure one of the most valuable players.

WC3L.Shawn: Which attending team do you fear the most? Who will take the lead in the end?
SK.reis: We actually fear no one in particular. MYM is of course the team with the most experience but nevertheless all teams have players with great skill. It will be a really tough competition.
