Reminder: Rules for ESL matches
In the past some of the rules might have been forgotten somehow. So we want to remind you about some of the rules that are frequently disregarded. Please take these informations as guidelines how to correctly carry out matches correctly.
#1: Compulsory matchmedia (rule 7.6.1)

We want to remind you that you are responsible to upload a replay (or screenshot if someone was not present) for each match. This is neccessary because we need to be able to reconstruct what happened in the match.

What if no matchmedia is uploaded?

The first step is a protest by an admin where we ask you to upload the matchmedia within a certain time (mostly 24 hours). If nothing happens the match will be deleted and BOTH contestants receive 1 penalty point for a missing matchmedia.

What to do after a match?

If the game was played the winner should upload the replay right after the match and enter the result. That's it!

If one side is not present at matchtime: Wait 20/10 minutes (depending on the match), make a screenshot at the agreed GGC channel, upload it and enter that xy did not show up. That's it!

We want to emphasize that we are going to intensivy the control of uploaded replays, as there are lots of matches missing the replays.

#2: Not played matches (rule 7.3.1.)

If a match is not played – for example because one side did not show up – you have to enter 'Player xy did not show up'. It is not allowed to enter a win for you, even if the result is confirmed by your opponent.

And last but not least: >>> In ladder there are no DefWins. <<<

If a game is not played the match will be deleted and player not present gets 2 penalty points for not being present for the match. If both players agree not to play the match they can arrange a match delete via support/protest ticket.

We are checking nearly all matches at the moment, so please stick to these rules to avoid Adminprotests and penalty points. If you have any questions about the rules feel free to ask via support ticket or irc (#esl.wc3).

Rules has been written before those information! You should obey the rules no matter when they were written, so do not attack Admins because of your disobeying the rules. There was always PROTEST and support TICKETs which allows you to fix your problem, and I hope that all of your problems were solved by some admin that means you can contact admins via tickets anytime.
