The Unreal Tournament 3 ESL Section starts up with a 2on2 Battle Team Arena Cup!
The Tourney is based on single Elimination Bracket up to 32 teams!*
Starts on 01/03/2010 and finish on 11/04/2010.

Tourney System

  • Single elimination Bracket
  • First matchweek 01/03/2010 to 07/03/2010
  • One match per week, you can schedule your match whenever you want.
  • If you can't agree with your enemy, default date is Sunday, 21:00CET

    • Match mode

  • Best of 3; Most-frags choose the third map.
  • If the total frags equals at 1-1 the 3rd map is forced from calendar
  • During the Cup you are allowed to pick a map more than once

    • Matchmedia

  • There have to be at least the following files :Screenshots after each map from both players are mandatory. Demos are welcome.
  • All have to be uploaded after the match (24h of time)
  • If there are screenshots missing, it will be punished with 1 penalty points and in some cases with a default loss if there are no other media.

    Nice Cup! BUT only 2 Player for 1 Team ..omg.... allow 3-4 Players per team and u will reduce deflosses and drops which will be massive, if only 2 Players per team are allowed!

    The cup allows MINIMUM team members of 2.
    so can actually have a team of 3 or more players. (like mine. atm 3 players)

    "Error"

    "Das Team hat zuviele Mitglieder für diese Liga (2on2 Teams dürfen nur aus "genau zwei Mitgliedern bestehen")." means for me, exactly 2 members are allowed...and so i get a error when i try add my team (id: 4082172)... 4 members+ capatin are are to much? ^^

    since it's 2v2 BTA:
    - Codex-CE
    - Campgrounds-]I[
    - Diesel(-LE)
    - Subterrane
    - Bonescraper
    - Heatray(-CE), since it's BTA you don't even need to take CE-version
    - Defiance/Deck-FPS if you want well know maps so badly...

    agree, this pool looks nice
    imho some 1on1 maps would fit, maybe even acquisition
    and ibeppe, as an admin, you could force something completely new, as mapvoting will get the cup to same 6-8 maps...

    ok, i had the same problems but try the new -SE version, runs really smooth now...

    and more "classic" BTA maps like Camp, Under, Grendel (even if they are not that great) would be nice otherwise this cup like more 2v2 TDM, if there are Deck, Heatray, Diesel, Codex in mappool.

    Shangri-la - to big for 2on2
    Deck - team which spawns on top wins -> boring. Deck isn't played in 2k4 TAM for a reason
    Campgrounds-U3-Fix - (prolly?) worst cg-remake ever. ]i[ is much better

    well, ramses is right. Deck mustn't be played because of the spawnpoints.
    ShangriLa is too big for a 2on2... but just like Campgrounds, isn't it? I remember many matches I played on Campgrounds which took very long with just 4 players, cos we just ran another way all the time.
    And Heatray in bta? never played it before. Gonna try it once.

    But Haze is really fine to play in bta, just like Cheops... :(

    So what exactly is the problem with Cheops? I don't have any fps-probs there. Heatray is harder to play for me.

    the problem with Cheops is that it doesn't run smooth. It totally stutters on some machines. I haven't found out yet what this stuttering depends on. So imo this is a huge disadvantage for some teams and due to this fact cheops shouldn't be in the pool.

    a small map like bonescrapper would be better...keep in mind that...it´s BTA not TDM ;)

    well u should remove bonescraper that will just be a lol spam fest (like there wasn't enough spam in bta :/ , well some just love it for that xD ... ), try to introduce a new map maybe, that would introduce some kind of new blood in mapool ;) .

    imo good but if people don't want Bone maybe Rankin is better ;) ? We have a Diesel-LE too...
