ESL Rules exception: Known cheaters
There are a lot of free games (currently) without any anti-cheat-software, making it difficult to ban or disallow players which are known as cheaters within a community. Yesterday the ESL decided to make an Exception for their Rules regarding these known cheaters...

...in fact the ESL Rules say, that a cheater needs to be caught in ESL (in an ESL match) to be banned or disallowed from playing in ESL. Due to this Exception we (The European Urban Terror Admin Staff) are allowed to disallow those players, if they're banned by different Urban Terror leagues. To not abuse this power we have set some requirements for this:

  • A Player needs to be banned by at least one Urban Terror League
  • His/Her demo/replay must be available for us
  • We have checked the demo/replay ourself and we rated him guilty
  • We got an ip/logentry to verify it was really him/her

This is for example the case for the following known Players in the Urban Terror Community: NaSa (banned by one league and the urt admin alliance), Macko (banned by one league), Solid (banned by one league). They're disallowed from playing in all /eu/ Urban Terror Sections.

Information for country-sections at the ESL

Country-Sections at the ESL make their own decision, we won't get involved. It's up to the community to pressure the country-sections to decide to forbid those Cheaters from playing themselves.
