Speed Mappack IV/2010 released !

 Recently we've been asked a lot "where are the news tracks ?!?!"... well finally we can say: Here they are! The Speed Maptesting team worked hard on their rating and we get now finally to the release of the new Speed Mappack IV 2010.
The new tracks will be driven in every ladder in the European ESL Speed section as well as in the Speed Premiership Season 3 which starts in a week.
The SelectionWe got a lot of maps from different mapbuilders. Many of them were nice to drive and also very competitive. Every member of our speed testing team had worked hard rating all the maps, and we can finally show you the result. We proudly present you the new Speed-Mappack: The MapsYour map not chosen? It's been a tough choice and if your track is not in this list, it doesn't mean that we didn't enjoy it. Important: There is still the possibility that all maps that aren't listed here could be used as special maps for the upcoming Speed Premiership Season 3. You will soon recieve a mail with information about the status of your map. So the most important thing is, that you please don't upload it anywhere else, without knowing if we could use it as special map. As said, you'll receive a mail as soon as possible. Where will these maps be used?Generally you can use this maps wherever you want. But in a competition you will find them only in the Speed Premiership Season 3 and in the ladders:  Speed 1on1 Rounds Ladder, Speed 2on2 Rounds Ladder and the Speed Teams Rounds Ladder.All open Matches in this Ladders can be driven on the old maps if your opponent and you aggree to do so - new challenges have to be driven with the new pack. 2 Maps were kinda good though.
It's just that is not all about maps that fit many pro skill levels, as you can improve your time very much with skill, tricks and stuff.
Sure that's an important point, but I think fun factor should be calculated as well.
For example you come with highspeed with like 30 degrees on a really tiny wallride where you just can't avoid a wallbang just kills a flow part and also the rhythm and driving feeling...
Just my opinion, I'm not the kind of guy that always flames about the packs or stuff, the last packs where all in all kinda cool and no criticism from my side.

i think every "average" map on tmx is way better than this so called "maps" here. I just can't understand how ESL Admins could choose maps like this? I'd like to see the other maps which where send in and i bet more than the half of them are better than this ones. I also wouldn't flame if there would be any different styles of maps, but this are all the same..

-Not many bugs
-Easy for rounds
-Different styles (Very highspeed,NormalSpeed,Dirt,Grass,Turnovers,Tubes,Wallrides and so on)
And dont forget 6 maps will still appear as special maps

And dont forget 6 maps will still appear as special maps (Yes but the normal mappack should be better than the special maps, lol)

You´re right. Special maps are just for SPS driver... The Speed Ladder never will drive this maps this season on ESL!
And every map both Special and "Normal" maps have to be nice. The only thing is that Specialmaps have to be harder then normal ones...

Why not Dirt? on Competition maps there are also a few seconds with fullspeed, lol

I personally think (even though my track wasn't selected :P) this pack will work well for competition, which is far more important than any personal preference I have about track style. That said, I am not part of a competing team so my opinion is moot.
