Today the last winner of a Global Challenge is going to be determined. In early March the sixth Intel Extreme Masters season will culminate at the World Championship. This Wednesday the last Global Challenge of the running Intel Extreme Masters season will take off in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in oppressive heat. It is the last chance for StarCraft II players to score points and qualify for the World Championship, where the new World Champions will be determined in early March.

We recently had several players asking about a new seaosn, about maps for an upcoming season and so on. First of all we want to say that it's not sure at all yet when another EMS/CAP season will be played. But we definitely want to organize another one. Maybe some other smaller stuff will come aswell, but most of all we need new and fresh maps for that!

This weekend the EMS IX TMNF and CAP 8 ended. But we definitely won't become inactive now! The Winter League is starting this week, and today we can make an even bigger announcement: there will be another edition of the EMS, and also the CAP will be back soon!

After more than 3 months of racing both EMS IX TMNF and CAP 8 are over now. We've seen lots of great matches and intense fights, and now it's time to praise the winners! Both tournaments found their Champions, but in the end it's all teams being winners that participated this season, wherefore we want to thank all you guys for taking part at the competitions.

VERSUS is about having fun playing exciting, balanced matches matches. But it's even more fun to have goals and achievements while playing. The VERSUS rankings for example are one such motivation. But there is something missing, isn't there? Yes, awards! We have a lot of cool ideas for new awards, but to begin with we are starting with the most basic one: for playing X VERSUS matches, in any game.

Almost a quarter million people tuned in concurrently to watch us today on the final day to watch world's best players competing at the CyberSports Arena in Kiev. Today is the final day of the Global Challenge Kiev where all the finals will be played out. A total seven matches is awaiting you in StarCraft II, League of Legends and Counter-Strike. Starting time is 12:00 local time in Kiev, Ukraine.

After two days with almost 50 matches the groupstage has ended. From now on it will be do or die in every single match. All first and second played participants will meet respective counterparts in the semi finals or quarter finals in StarCraft II, which will be played today.
