Each relegation match will be a Best of Three. Both teams choose their home map, the decider will be cp_well. Default date is Sunday, 14th December 2008. The fixtures for the relegation have been generated through the groupstage rankings: A2 vs B3, A3 vs B2, C2 vs D3 and C3 vs D2.

Playoffs

The four group winners are directly qualified for the Playoffs of the ESL Major Series Season 3. There will be a total of 8 teams together with the four winners of the relegation. The double elimination finals will start in January 2009.
