Arena Offensive - Ladder and cups incoming!
We are proud to announce further arena competitions for the ESL TF2 section. After the great success of the first Arena Cup and the 3on3 Summer Cup Series we want to merge both modes to support the new and strong arena community. Make your team ready but be sure to do not come up with any medics!

First: 3on3 Arena Ladder!

3on3 Arena Ladder

We are also open for suggestion according to arena custom maps. Just put your feedback into our forums.

The existing 3on3 Ladder will be closed because we want to focus and support the new upcoming arena mode.

Second: 3on3 Arena Premiership!

The 3on3 Arena Premiership is a long time competition for our arena-based teams and will last over the entire autumn. We can not tell you an entire schedule yet because we will fit the structure to the number of teams that signup.

Third: Our new mode for arena matches!

Team Fortress 2 Our new match mode
2 Rounds, MR15

We are going to use a new match mode for all arena-based competitions within the ESL TF2 section. This new mode is mostly common with the world-wide standard in Counterstrike and Counterstrike:Source.

Examples:

Team A Homemap: Team A [ 3 : 12 ] Team B
Team B Homemap: Team A [ 6 : 9 ] Team B

Overall: Team A [ 9 : 21 ] Team B

Team A Homemap: Team A [ 10 : 5 ] Team B
Team B Homemap: Team A [ 2 : 13 ] Team B

Overall: Team A [ 12 : 18 ] Team B

This new match mode makes the scores of each map more important. It is not only interesting if you won a map, it is more about how you won the map. You also need to play the second map properly because you can still lose a match after you won a map (see second example above).

A draw is possible (15:15) but will not happen very often. In the 3on3 Ladder and in groupstages it is no problem that a match results in a draw. In other competitions (e.g. cups) there will be a decidermap given in advance.

It is important that the result is properly entered according to the scoreboard and not with 1 and 0 like in the 6on6 League!

We would like to hear your feedback and suggestion about the arena changes in our forums.

very nice
GREAT!!
Amazing to the new idea, but why stop the 3on3 ladder? Isn't it possible to run both, and let's see if the 3on3 ladder dies out.

and one Question:
as I see the teams will play always exactly 15 rounds per map not like a best of 29, is that correct?

You need to play exactly 15 rounds, right. If you already won the match overall (f.e. first map ended 13:2 and you are leading the third map with 3:0) you can donate all missing rounds to your opponent, but this is not a must!
dont close the eu 3on3 ledder!!!run both!!!!!!!that makes me sick!
