Cheating? The case ''Stayros''
| |||
![]() As some of you know, there were a few rumors about one of the top teams in our 2on2 league concerning a player who was suspected to cheat. As a lot of people asked for an official statement here we go...
We talk about the player Stayros, who was found on the cheaters list of UAC.
I talked with UAC developers and many players and responsible persons to find out what's the reason for this. Don't forget, we talk about a player of the (at that time) number 1 team in the league. ![]() It turned out, that it was really him, using a cheat at his own knowlegde! But: this cheat was used as he tested the cheat as a tester for the upcoming new version of UAC. The cheat was never used in any ESL match. After he realised that he was on the list, he was the first one who informed me and offered to let me delete his account. This was rejected by me. So as we checked all facts, we decided that we won't give a barrage for this. However he won't be removed from the cheater list, as this is not possible. Here's the statement from DExUS (head developer of UAC and former admin in ESL), just for your info: Just leting you know that Stayros was not cheating in a match, he was just testing (for unknown reasons, because the test was for UAC2 not UAC4SWAT)...This doesn't mean that all cases of cheating will be ignored in future. This was a unique decision. All future cases will be penalised according to the rules.
