In my eyes this tournament is absolutely key to scrolls success.

Why is that?

Well this is a huge opportunity to show why scrolls is a competitive game and that people what to watch it. At the end of the day they will not do any more tournaments if the views are low, like it or not they are a business and they need to make a profit even if they are not putting money in to it they are still putting time in the game and we as a community need to show that we can support the investment. The pay off for this is a large amount of publicity and in theory a increased player base.

So how can you show you support, well singing up is a start and on top of this showing up on time paying attention to when and who you need to play your games against, apart from that just helping the games run smoothly i.e don't get all salty if the game dose not go your way and you feel that it was unfair, and remember your GG's and HF's. Apart from that just talking about some of the game, plays and surprise underdogs that have show them self to be just as good as some of the top players.

I still sand by my opinion that we have one of the best community out there right now and now is the time to show it. Don't forget Most of all show your appreciation for them given the game a chance saying thanks goes a long way too.

I'm posting this here too so more people can see it as I feel that it is important, however if you (ESL) feel that this page should not be used for this kind of think feel free to take it down :)
Signed up, and looking forward to this!
Im excited :D Ill probably lose first round, but i dont care
The first semi-offical Scrolls tournament and I hope it'll get new players into Scrolls!
Signed up. How will it work? Is there a time frame one must play your match per round? Cause I will be able to check-in but won't be able to play a match when it first starts. Got to support my football team :P

You should be able to play your 1st match directly at cup start, it's a one day cup and you play match by match until the cup is over.

Just signed up! can't wait for it to start! :D
Is there plan for stream ?
Can we ust multiple decks or a single one for the whole tournament?
We are placing no restrictions on changing decks
How will there be "balance" to this tournament? Scrolls right now has 4 to 5 very strong strategies that are being used currently in the ranked matches. I enjoy the game but once you can see the over used strategies you want to make decks to directly counter them.

Since there currently are no spectating possibilities for casters, we would like to encourage everyone to stream their own games. If you are playing on Sunday and will be streaming, just post your Twitch-link in the news comments so that I can announce them prior to the start of the tournament.
How will we report who won a game? Send screenshots to someone?
Is there rule set for decs etc somewhere and this

DerGauner - you'll be able to report the match on the match setup screen. You'll also be able to upload screenshots there.

Zakker: We are not placing any restrictions on decks.

At 18:00 all confirmed contestants will be placed in the brackets ( http://www.esl.eu/eu/scrolls/cup/opening/rankings/ ). If you can't find yourself there, you can also navigate to your open matches ( http://www.esl.eu/eu/scrolls/cup/opening/open_matches/ ). On the match page: click "upload match media" and select the screenshots + replay you wish to upload.
