In the fourth season of the ESL Major Series StarCraft: Brood War plays as always a big role. With an total amount of 750 Euro prize money. We wish all players good luck and hope to see a lot of thrilling and tight matches during the fourth season.

This Monday, the final eight players of the ESL Major Series will start making their way through the playoff tree to the grand final. Five more weeks until we know who wins the first season of the ESL Major Series for StarCraft.

Since we finshed the Groups A/B of the EMS Groupstage, we have to play some tie breaking matches! Because chOseN got kicked we'll see 3 hot matches for qualifing for the playoffs!

After an very impressive second playday of the groups A and B, we start tomorrow with the playday for the groups C and D. But just with two instead of four matches because one has allready been played and one is wildcarded. Who will start into the last playday on the top positions?

Groups A and B have their second playday today. All four matches will be very exciting. After the impressing first playday of these groups the players will try to keep their good positions or fight not to loose touch with the top two.

Groups C&D are starting their matches this week with a couple of Euro-American encounters. All eight players are eager to win their first matches on Monday to get themselves in a good position for the playoffs.

Four qualifier cups have passed, 16 players have qualified - today we present you the groups and schedule for the upcoming ESL Major Series. The matches will start on Monday 21 CET and will be broadcasted by ESL TV.

Rival branches of the armed forces in South Korea are forming special squads to do battle inside StarCraft. The game is so popular in South Korea that it is almost considered a national sport and combined with a obligated military service that means that a lot of players are in the army and thus the next logical step was to include it into army training procedures. PGL put out "ShowGame" during PGL2007 Starcraft. There will be three rounds of it, and also there will be three rounds of voting. The first round of ShowGame is on 25th May, second round is on 29th May, and the last round is on 2th June. There will be 30 minutes that the round’s voting stop before the Game day.

Yesterday the groupstage ended and here we can present you now the participants for the upcoming playoffs which will be hold today. Also this news included the final informations for the playoffs.

After two weeks the first qualification phase "The Ladder" has ended. And so we can present you all qualified players and the groups for the upcoming groupstage.
