Fourth WCS Qualifier Today!
The StarCraft II World Championship Series 2013 in Europe is about to start. We'd like to share the dates and format of the upcoming season. 24 players will be invited to the European Premier Division, eight more will be determined via online qualifier. This is your chance to get a spot in the Premier Division of WCS Europe's first season.
WCS Europe - Season 1 Schedule & FormatSince there was no preceding season to qualify players for Season 1 of WCS Europe, invites and online qualifiers will be done differently from how they’ll be done in future seasons. By participating in any WCS EU Qualifier, players are not allowed to participate in another region for 2013.
Invites for Premier Division
For this inaugural season 24 players will be invited to compete based on their performance in past StarCraft II tournaments. These 24 participants were announced last Thursday.
From 14th to 17th of April four online qualifiers will be held with up to 512 on Mon/Tue and 1024 participants on Sun/Wed. Every day the top 2 will qualify for the Premier Division of WCS Europe's first season. These 8 players join the 24 invited ones and form the very first Premier Division.
The first and fourth qualifier on Sunday and Wednesday will be limited to 1024 participants and there will be a maximal amount of 512 players on Monday (#2) and Tuesday (#3). The brackets of all qualifiers will be seeded based on a WCS dedicated ranking as well as the all-time Go4SC2 ranking.
The Check-in starts at 17:00 CEST, one hour before the official start of the cup. As soon as we have a full bracket (512 on Monday/Tuesday and 1024 on Sunday and Wednesday), the Qualifier will start.
If you have any problems during the cup, including reporting match results or not being able to find your opponent, contact an admin in the Cup Chat. For any questions open a support ticket.
