How to play custom maps

To play custom maps, go to create a custom game, and enter the name of the map in the search box in the upper right corner of the maps interface.

Key Rules

Replays: Replays must be uploaded to the match page (not zipped) immediately after the match! You will receive penalty points for missing replays starting at the quarter finals!
Coverage: See the streams page for details
Server / Country Restriction: All players are allowed to play, but the matches will be played on the European Battle.net with a European Host.

Hosting

Matches from quarter finals onwards need to be hosted by the matchadmin. In special cases and with the agreement of the matchadmin you are allowed to host and start the match by yourself.
If a match was played without the matchadmin or his permission, penalty points will be given and the match will be stated as invalid. The responsible matchadmin for your match will announce himself in the matchcomments, only contact this admin.

Match format

Round 1 is Best of 1, the map is shown on the match page.

All following rounds are Best of 3. In Best of 3 a map veto (removal and pick) system is used. The high seeded player (seeds are shown in round 1 on the bracket) decides who starts. Players take it in turn removing maps until only three remain, then each player picks a map. Maps are played in order they are picked. The remaining map is played last.

Disconnects

If there is a disconnect in the first 4 minutes of the game and there has been no contact between players, then the game will be restarted.

After this time, the match should be re-gamed unless one player had a great advantage.

If the problem occurs frequently then an admin should be contacted.

If a game is restarted players must choose the same races.

No shows

If your opponent is not ready to play, 15 minutes after the scheduled match time, then you should report that your opponent is a no show to an admin in the Cup Chat.

Protests

Protests must be raised to admins in the cup chat as soon as possible. Protests raised late, or through the website may be ignored.
