The patch is a major one, with many big changes to how the game works, the most notable being the "streaming client", which means from this patch onwards, you can continue the play the game while patching, as the most important parts are updated first and the rest later as you need them.

The patching process for patch 1.5.0 will be a bit different from previous StarCraft II patches, and will occur in two stages. First, to prepare your copy of StarCraft II to ‘migrate’ over to the new streaming version of the client, a small tools patch will need to be downloaded and applied.

Please update your game as soon as possible, so that you are able to play your ESL matches. Please do not sign up or check-in for cups until you are patched!
