We have to announce two changes which are effective immediately:

» 1. Weapon Prohibitions
The Gauss Rifle is re-allowed in all ESL ladders and cups. Please note that each ladder may have weapon restrictions which differ from other ladders' or cups' restrictions. You can find the weapon prohibitions in the rules of each ladder/cup.

» 2. Balancing
From now on, all matches are supposed to be played with balancing: off. This step was necessary because the admin staff agreed that balancing does, in most cases, not affect who emerges victorious from a match - it simply means that the losing team can score points they usually would not be able to score. Because balancing wears off after the losing team catches up, the other team will be able to score as easily as they did before balancing started taking effect in the respective match.

We hope to be able to please the majority of the community with these changes and ask you to stay tuned until we announce whether or not the new map, Side-3, makes it to the mappool. For those who did not notice yet: All maps are in the mappool except Blockbuster (seeing as it doesn't meet the conditions required for competitive events).
