We know that we are late with the News and the award ceremony. We would also like to tell you who won the ESL Grid Grand Prix Championship and enclosed we also tell you the top three. Besides we want to inform you, that this Grid Grand Prix Season was sadly the first and the last one here in the ESL for Race Driver Grid (1).

The long-awaited news has finally arrived! In this edition of the news we will announce the winner of the 2on2 Cup and introduce you to the system that will be used in the Drift 1on1 Cups. Firstly, we would like to apologise for the delay in presenting this news to you. As you can appreciate, right now, almost all of our admins were at Gamescom 2010 and prior to this event they had a lot of planning work to complete. Shortly said, we have been very busy lately.

We would like to inform you about the new mappool in the Race Driver Grid 2on2 Global Challenge Ladder. The tracks for the Race Driver Grid Global Challenge Cup #1 will not be changed, so it is just the hopeful change for the Ladder, which has been made for all of you.

The news you have been waiting for, information about the Drift Cup! Firstly, an important matter concerning the time of the Grid Grand Prix, which will take place not like before at 6 PM CET, instead at 9 PM! Reasoning behind postponing the time will be explained to you all in this news.

A t t e n t i o n!!! Herewith we are proud to present - the first 2on2 GRiD Cup. No 2on2 Cup was played until yet, but the time has come to get the first Cup started. We are looking forward to big activity and we hope that more Teams will be founded in the following days.

Hello GRID Racers! Following the success of the recent Touring and GT Cups, we are pleased to announce the upcoming USA Cup Competition! All your favourite cars from the US will feature, such as the Viper, Mustang, Ford Doran and yes the Boss and Plymouth will be available too!

Hello GRID Racers! The two cup competitions have been completed and we have two champions! In the touring car cup there was a great deal of interest and a waiting list had to be drawn up. In the GT cars cup, there was again a great deal of interest with many racers keen to prove themselves in these more powerful and tricky to handle cars.

Grid Racers watch out! Before the Touring Car Cup ends, a new cup will already have begun! The cup featuring GT 1 and GT 2 cars is planned to be held very soon and we are confident that all drivers can handle the cars well.

Hello racers, we have some exciting news for you. The time has come for the first ever Racedriver Grid cup in the European section of the ESL! We know many of you enjoy the touring car series so we have decided to base this first cup solely on touring cars.

Never before has something similar happened in the ESL section for Grid, for the future we are proud to present you a new system. We are also currently looking for people who are interested to work as an admin here in the Electronic Sports League, for Race Driver GRiD.

Welcome to the new year, 2010! This year we have many new and exciting championships for you to compete in. The Race Driver Grid section has been relatively inactive here on the ESL for a while, but a recent renovation of the rules and regulations has brought us back!

It is getting cold outside, Christmas is just around the corner, everybody is happy and they are adapting to the holidays. There will also be a present in the form of some of the EU Ladder rules changing! (Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, or, for political correctness, Happy Holidays!)

For 18 months we have played the game “Race Driver GRiD” on the PlayStation, Xbox and on PC. CODEMASTERS has also published a successful Nintendo DS version of GRiD.

Now we have finished the Euro Touring Ladder and the Intercontinental Ladder, we would like to present the new 1v1 EU Ladder! The available maps will be increased soon from 11 tracks to 14. The tracks “BRIDGESTONE” and “BMC” will also be removed due to the well-known bug with BMC.

We will be making changes to the 2v2 Global Challenge. There will be changes to the points system and the amount of maps to choose from will be increased. With the additions of the new courses, there will also be some new routes.

As everyone has noticed, there will be some changes in future for GRID. The Intercontinental Ladder has been discussed earlier and the vote was completed successfully. We now present the sixteen tracks of the Inter-Conti Ladder in this news. Furthermore, the Euro Touring Ladder starts with fourteen tracks.

There had been a thick dust layer on the GRID section, nothing happened for a long time. Now, the time has come to clean up. The activity over the last months was rather low, compared to the starting days, nevertheless some of you showed a tremendous loyality. Lets first of all say: Thank you! There are some reforms, but read yourself, what you can expect soon.

The 1on1 Ladder is running and the Community is waiting for the first European Team Ladder. Grid Europe proudly presents the 2on2 Global Challenge Ladder, which features Tracks from all around the World. Get prepared for racing action from Japan to USA and challenge teams from all over Europe.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please start you engines and stay prepared for Race Driver Grid - Europe wide! The first races will take place as 1on1 competitions on European tracks starting off this Monday, 18th August 2008! Vehicles from "BMC Open Wheel" to "Aston Martin's" and "Corvette's" are waiting for you!
