NPCL becomes official partner of ESL in Russia
Today we are proud to announce the official partner of ESL in Russia: The National Professional Cybersport League (NPCL). The Opening Ceremony of NPCL Regular Championship Season 2 seems to become one of the biggest eSports events 2006 in Russia. Three main events are on the agenda in one evening.
The NPCL was established three years ago. Each year, one season was played. In the first season the games Counter-Strike, Starcraft - Broodwar and Warcraft 3 were supported. In the last two seasons Counter-Strike was the only game in NPCL. In every season, the 12 best Russian teams are playing against each other. The prize money is pretty spectacular: The teams are getting $66,000 in match bonusses during the season and another $18,000 at the offline finals (all in all $84,000 prize money).
