Nice! :)
Never ever have I been *n*ll* *ssr*p*d in a game so hard as long as I live, ever.

I totally got abused in my second match and the sad part is, it happened during a nice song too... #traumatized
Awesome !
good
G FUCKIN G LET THE GAMES BEGIN
It should be better to have a weekly mappool or something like this, because when a #500 plays against someone who never played this game, it's pretty boring..

+ what about mods? Freemod is allowed? Mods can be selected randomly?

Awesome.
This is awesome i do pretty much expect for now most people to play to be very high skill until it gets a bit better known.
Rules should be a little more exact on what is allowed and what not

It doesn't say what maps are considered

It doesn't say what mods are allowed

Its basically missing few rules.
You HAVE to add some rules. Here are my suggestions.

1. No freemod. Everyone plays the same map, using the mod(s) the picker chose.
2. No Flashlight mod. Completely unfair.
3. No Easy mod, very few people know to play that mod therefore it's an uneven playing field.
4. If one person fails, but the other person doesn't, that person wins the map. Only if both parties fail does score decide the victor.
5. No unranked maps. Should be obvious.
6. No maps over 10 minutes. I could easily play the 1hr marathon and make my opponent leave every game.

pretty much everything soulg said except the 5th one. there are no problems with unranked ones.
ok
This ABSOLUTELY NEEDS A MAP POOL, its not viable for competition, or even measuring skill, if one person can just pick a mind numbing/easy map that he has practiced to perfection.

matchmaking should be better, the good players are picked against weak players, also where's the mappool, I can just put a map with 10 spinners and do constant 460+ on them and win.
Definitely need someone to pick a proper map pool.
just put a map pool like the osu world cup, right now people can easily win by putting maps the opponent doesn't have, hence doesn't know how to play on.

DT should be disallowed too, because it's as impossible to sightread maps with Double Time you don't know as playing with Easy Mod. Same goes for Hidden
This needs a map pool... and fast.
i dont think it needs any of these things. you both get YOUR own song to play. if he beats you on yours than you suck. my humble opinion.
Solution to the current problem with this:

Allowed mods: HD HR DT NF

Each map is designated to be either: freemod, nomod, or forced mod. For forced mod the player who didn't select the map can force both players to play with one of the mods.

35 beatmap map pool:
10 No Mod
20 Free Mod
5 Forced Mod

Initial pool:
Community votes for the top 22 maps in 2013
Community votes for the top 8 maps in 2014 (Assuming this happens at the end of March)
The CAT/BAT team submit their top 5 all time maps

Pool (monthly) rotation:
The least played/ranked 5 are eliminated and replaced with:
The top 3 monthly ranking chart
The top 2 maps as chosen by the community that month

The CAT/BAT team also replace one of their top 5 all time each month (editors pick)

This provides equal footing as no one can be blind sided by an hour long marathon map or some stupid FL or easy mods. While rotating 1/6th of the map pool every month to prevent stagnation. Rotation occurs 1 week after the the CAT/BAT team releases their top month picks so the community has time to vote on other maps.

It's not impossible to sightread DT at all, FL yes, but not DT

Every mod is sightreadable.
Whats up with the Kickstart Award? 14 Days are over ;)
The kick starter awards were just given out :)
Why, I didn't receive?

yes it can, you're not on that level, these rules don't go into armax or take into account the plays the other has done... the players who had 25k plays under their belt have a huge advantage over the 1k plays etc...

FL is also acceptable but very few can read it.

you need to talk to PEPPY, the creator of osu! and get the rules straight with him, you are using his game, use his rules. otherwise i will refuse to play multiplayer on your rules.
we cant see to osu on versus ?? :v
