Gotcha!
Some of you might know the title from some stupid quiz-shows on Television. Today this word gets a whole new meaning for our CS section. The community received a small clue as a present just in time for Christmas, which relieves many Cheaters for the time being at least.
As it was published today, there is a possibility to prove the use of the so-called Mosquito-ESP. The coder included a small function which places a Water-Mark on each Screenshot, easily discoverable as black Edges on the right and bottom of each Picture.

Directly after gaining knowledge of this information a number of Admins and Users started to search the Ladders where many matches could be found. At the moment there are more than 30 players barred due to cheating violation and a great number of open cases which will be processed soon. Some examples for these players are the two top rankings in the German CS 1on1 EAS and some top rankings in the normal 1on1 ladder in Germany.

We now urge you to check your Matches for any of the borders described above, and, if found, to write a support including links to the match, the screenshot and the player who uploaded it.

In addition, we'd like to mention that we won’t delete any Matches in which one of the participants didn't upload screenshots; the rules say that only one player needs to upload screenshots, so these demands are useless. A change of this rule will not be necessary also in future, because the final version of Cheating Death version (4.26.1) detects this cheat.

How this realization will affect the future of the ladders, especially how littered with cheaters the ladders have been regarding the non-EAS ladders, will be checked during the next days.

The entire Staff wishes, at least the honest players of the ESL...

A Merry Christmas!
