Intel Extreme Masters Los Angeles - The Global Challenge

![]() We proudly present the Intel® Extreme Masters Los Angeles! From 18th to 21st of October, Intel® Extreme Masters Season II is coming to Los Angeles, CA. At the trade fair E for All (former E3), the world's best Counter-Strike teams and Warcraft 3 players will compete for 65,000 US-Dollar prize money. The best two non-European teams and players will win a slot for the Intel Extreme Masters Season II finals in March.
The Intel® Extreme Masters L.A. is a global tournament in Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3. Teams and players have to apply for the tournament. Origin of the players is not important. Players and teams from all over the world are heartily invited to take part in this Global Challenge. Additionally, two wildcards will be given out. A local pre tournament will be held on Thursday at E for All to determine the wildcard participants. The main tournament will start out with a group phase, followed by a double elimination bracket. 65,000 US-Dollar prize money in total will be given out at the Intel® Extreme Masters L.A. Prestige and a whole bunch of money is waiting for the attending gamers. World class eSports entertainment will ensue. Exclusive non-European slots for Intel® Extreme Masters Season II will be played out. The two best teams and players not coming from Europe will receive a spot for the Grand Finals and have a shot at a larger chunk of the $285.000 Intel® Extreme Masters prize purse. So finally it is possible for teams and players from all around the world to compete in the Intel® Extreme Masters! European teams can only win money and prestige in Los Angeles. They will go through the regular online season, where there is a bonus for every win. The best of the online season advance to the Intel® Extreme Masters Finals in March. There the Europeans will meet again with the teams and players from L.A., determining the world's best CS team and best WC3 player. The Intel® Extreme Masters L.A. will take place from 18th until 21st of October in Los Angeles, USA, at the L.A. Convention Center. The Los Angeles Convention Center is one of the key contributors to the economic and cultural vitality of L.A. City.
