Welcome to the coverage of the ESL Day of Defeat Source Autumn OpenCup 2009. The coverage of the event will mainly be on the Premier Divisons due to the massive amount of teams signing up to the season, Over 100 teams are currently playing in ESL DOD:S events this season. The premier divison is spilt into 4 groups. Each team will play each other once with each game being 4x15 on some of the following maps, Anzio, Lennon, Argentan, Harrington, Salerno, Coire_rc3, Santos_b3, Vallente_rc3, Diversion_b4, Catania_rc2 and Solitude_match.
This season we have a very strong and talented amount of teams in the Premier divisons, there are going to be some very exciting matches along the way. We will be looking for some amazing performances from teams like Warrior Troops, Casca.Qpad and Spirit of Amiga. There will be also a few teams wanting to prove themselves as top teams, Vipers eSports, EnRo Griffins and iRage being just a few names to watch out for.



Overview & Week 1





Group A

Group A looks to be a dead cert win for SoA which the experience of Kiwi and co. However the cyberaddicts team will be in it from the start to try and win the group, they have a very strong team with some talented lights who will look to dominate most teams, the team has experience from players like Kartone. These will be the teams to beat. I cannot see any other team in this group being able to put much of a fight up against cya and SoA. If eMpathy have sorted their line up issues they may get a shock result.

Group B

Warrior Troops will be the team to beat in Group B, with only 5 teams in this group second place is up for grabs. You would expect iRage to take this slot but with the return of kG, you can never be sure. kG have had some amazing part results but only time will tell if it is the same strength lineup. I can only see IreaL and republic being specators in this group.

Group C

Group C will the group to watch, everybody has a chance in this group to take #1 slot. D4 with recent changes may not be as strong with the lost of akiRo but will put up a good fight. They have picked up chae who can handle himself with the rifle rather well. Elixir are a team who on their day can beat anyone, the french side will be looking to secure first place with their sniper being one of the key elements in the team. EnRo have proved to be a tough team since the pick up of ling, they will put up a great fight versus all the teams in this group. EnRo will however have to watch there behaviour as they currently have 9 PP's. I hope the UK team of Co. will turn up to this event, with the names in the roster they can certainly put up a fight anyday however it will be down to their activeness.

Group D

You have to fancy the chances of Casca.Qpad winning this event overall, with the likes of nightmare, una and klanne in their starting lineup you cannot see much going wrong for these boys. An impressive second place at Lan will put these boys in good sted for the up comming season. Vipers will be looking to prove their status as one of the best teams in Denmark, with a recent move to their new org they will looking to impress their new managers too. Disco and zig will really help this team in the group stage.
