With immediate effect the barrage for New Penalty Points will be given for reaching 4, 8 and 10 penalty points. Therefore, from now on the 2 weeks barrage will be given after obtaining 8 penalty points and not 9 penalty points. The changes are effective immediately and are not backdated. All already given penalty points and barrages will not be changed.

The season IV of the 6on6 League had ended since a long time and it was very quiet in the European Team Fortress 2 section since then. But now the time has come to start a new era in Team Fortress 2. The 6on6 League is back with a few changes.

Not too long ago we announced the 2010 DoD:S Nationschampionship hosted here at the ESL and as the start of the tourney comes closer, we would like to announce a little more information about the ruleset and dates.
Currently we are planning with between 24 and 28 nations to attend, being splitted up over 4 groups.

Again we consider custom maps here as maps that are not listed in our rotation for the main seasons. But the special thing is: this time we play the Detonation-Gameplay instead of fullcap-based area-control.

As many of you probably already know, the CS Promod BETA version 1.04 was released last Sunday for public testing. The new version was highly praised by critics of the earlier versions. The mod is now an almost perfect copy of CS 1.6... in HD.

Spring is coming! Like every spring a new Trackmania Premierships season is incoming as well. This time not only Competition and Speed are part of it. ESL Trackmania Premierships presents: Dirt Premiership Season 1!

The very successful Late-Night Cup history, shown in the German CS:CZ section and also in the German CS 1.6 section, gives us the idea to try it in our section, too. So today we proudly present you a 1on1 cup to test the response and hopefully we make a good start and we will play a lot more cups in the future.

A little bit unexpected, last season's winners zeroPoint! managed to overcome FirstFrag in the Upper Bracket Final and are waiting now in the Grand Final for the winner of this Consolation Final. The opponent of FirstFrag in this match-up will be rockit from France.

The final of the Loser Bracket has come to end. Now, only one match remains open till we know who wins the fifth EMS Season! All Polish teams are out and the final will be held between two European teams.

After the section wasn't too active in the past few weeks, we will try to give it a "revive" with another 5on5 cup. We are also planning on trying out new stuff for cups and ladders (like 1on1/2on2 etc.), so please feel free to discuss in the forums!

Counter-Strike: Source is one of the largest games here at the Electronic Sports League which creates a large demand for admins to keep our ladders and other competitions running well. In the past few months we've had a number of new admins join the team and it is time again to ask for more interested people to apply.

We are now getting close to the end of the ESL Major Series Season V in Trackmania Nations Forever. All 8 Playoffs players are determined and this Saturday they will fight for the 500 Euro prize money!

This week, we will finally see the final of the ESL Major Series V Counter-Strike: Source cup. After 4 months, only 2 teams are remaining in the competition to win this ultimate title.
