Country Championship Cancelled

 Today we have some unfortunate news regarding Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 country championship. Due to recent problems with game and teams' activity, we need to cancel it. Too many teams have already quit, which makes it pointless to continue running it with just a few active teams.
We understand some of you will not understand this decision right now, but ESL simply cannot run this championship anymore as interest from teams has been more than disappointing. Multiple teams starting with  Switzerland. MW3,  Norway.MW3,  Poland .MW3,  Italy,  Israel.Bo2,  Belgium,  Portugal COD:MW3 and  Austria as well as favorite teams  The Netherlands and  TEAM SWEDEN MW3 have quit for different reasons.Some have quit because promod-plugin wasn't working, some because they didn't agree with the rules and most of them just because they decided not to play the game anymore. Regardless of the reason for quitting, we now don't have enough proper and active teams to continue with this championship and therefore we have decided to cancel it. We understand this is partly admins' fault because we haven't always dealt with protests immediately and didn't put as much effort in it as we had to, however we were pretty mild on scheduling matches this time but apparently that wasn't good enough for some teams either. We would like to apologize to all teams that have been fair, haven't complained about a thing without proper reason and played all their matches on time - especially team  Germany.All open protest and matches will be closed and deleted shortly, so if you see some of yours are still open do not worry, they will be dealt with.

i cant understand why the admin unset the national status (the title).
Its absolutly not fair for the teams who played normal.

There is no national status if a team was disqualified or when the entire tournament was cancelled. Since the CC was removed because of inactivity of the nationalteams the national status was deleted, too.

Well, you might have a point for the national status but still we have global rules and even if your team was the one of the teams who didnt cause that much problems compared to many others we dont "award" anyone with a nationalteam status for playing 3 matches without a visible final ranking / grid / matches and so on. And btw... what is the advantage of a nationalteam-status?

We gave a statement in the news:

And yes, we are for some parts guilty but so is zxz0O0 for creating the plugin ( I doubt we would have a CC without the plugin), Nukem for creating the server - plugin (too bad he didnt updated as fast as some ppl wanted... he MUST hurt eSport, right?) or the Activision employees... but you know who is playing? Not a single person I named... its still the community and if you guys blame us for captains/players who gave a shit about teamconstellation-rules, no-shows, protests and playing a fuckin match without aiming for a defwin its looks to me like a way to find a easy scapegoat...
Maybe do it faster when the game is out and be sure theirs promod....
Hmm, sorry but I dont work at the Activion HQ to know their schedule for patches and changes for the PC platform. And if I recall correctly the BO - CC (which was running 200% better and had a community which was way smaller, with only 2 team who were forced to leave the tournament by an admindecision) was announced kinda late. Its not the case that you wake up early in the morning, decide that you do a CC and within 1 week you got all the stuff you need... just fyi.

Yep, we had enough teams for the playoffs ;) Group A had 3 teams left when we decided to cancel the CC and all other groups had 2 teams left which means everyone had a guaranteed slot for the playoffs regardless of the result of their match (2 teams, 1 match, guaranteed slot - thats well deserved, isnt it? :D ). Thats not even close to the standard for a Country Championship. And I wont call it unfair decision... its more like common sense...

The CC was the last tournament which gave me and some other player keep on playing. Now i dont feel happy to play anymore. And yes ... you began and had to finish it. Or do you think that the Football EM will canceled if some Nations(Football Teams) stop playing ? I dont think so.
And yes it was a mistake to cancel it but you cant believe it. But we the community have no chance to tell our opinions about it. Its just a one man desicion or maybe a admin team desicion. Nobody asked us the community. But yeah please decide everything alone if that makes sense in your eyes.
