IEM China, Guangzhou - Qualifier Schedule
The Intel Extreme Masters will show its presence in Guangzhou again this year between September 30th and October 4th, time for the first open qualifiers for this Intel Exreme Masters Season 7.
Merely 6 weeks after this season's first event at gamescom in Cologne, the circuits second stop will take place at Ani-con in the Jinhan Exhibition Center in Guangzhou.


We will run two open qualifiers, Tuesday 28th August and Thursday 30th August, for EU West and EU East&Nordic. In each qualifier will two teams qualify for the IEM VII Global Challenge Guangzhou Final Qualifier with the top 8 European teams (4 teams from each realm). The Global Challenge Guangzhou Final Qualifier will take place on Saturday 1st September and will decide which two League of Legends Teams will Europe send to the Intel Extreme Masters at Ani-Com & Games Guangzhou in China.

Qualification Dates

  • Stage 1 Europe - 28th of August 2012 - (Open for all*) - (EUNE) - (EUW)
  • Stage 2 Europe - 30th of August 2012 - (Open for all*) - (EUNE) - (EUW)
  • Stage 3 Europe - 1st of September 2012 - (Cross Realm Qualifier)

  • * Players and teams are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Please do not sign up unless you are sure you can attend the event! Only teams from Europe and Africa are eligible to play in this qualifiers.

    The World Championship

    The season will once again conclude at CeBIT in Hanover (March 5th - 9th, 2013), where the best 24 StarCraft 2 players and 12 League of Legends teams will meet in the World Championship, fighting for the Intel Extreme Masters trophy. Last year's World Championship was a highlight for both live spectators and stream viewers - and we're doing everything to make it even better.
